The team

The Team strategic growth team serves as a central pillar driving growth and transformation within Deloitte, spanning several business lines and various technology functions.  We are established as a centralized team collaborating across consulting, implementation, and operation to maintain and enhance client value offerings and services. We innovate conventional approaches, leveraging Deloitte technology, differentiated domain expertise, intellectual property, talent, and capacity to embed continuous advantage and deliver enhanced business value.

In this team, our focus is on catering to the unique needs and preferences of clients in the South Asia region. Your role within this dynamic team is essential for establishing networks and relationships across the client stakeholder ecosystem and ensuring service fulfillment. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other Deloitte leadership and stakeholders dedicated to the client. Your contributions will involve nurturing new and existing relationships, supporting presales life cycles, and playing a pivotal role in driving the success of Deloitte business growth for the specific client.

Your work profile

We are looking for a hands-on SAP FM Specialist to drive the design, configuration, and delivery of Funds Management (FM) processes as part of a major SAP transformation program. This role focuses on managing fund allocations, commitment management, budget control, and reporting, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations. The SAP FM Specialist will collaborate closely with Finance teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver accurate, efficient, and audit-compliant solutions.

• Lead end-to-end configuration and implementation of SAP FM functionalities, including Funds Allocation, Commitment Management, Budget Availability Control, and Reporting.
• Collaborate with Finance and Controlling teams to analyze fund management requirements, optimize budget controls, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
• Support testing activities by developing test scripts, executing unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), and validating FM processes against business scenarios.
• Assist in data migration, reconciliation, and cutover activities for fund master data, commitment items, and budget postings.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve functional issues, defects, or gaps in FM processes, escalating critical issues to leadership when necessary.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of FM configurations, workflows, process maps, and reconciliation reports.
• Provide subject matter expertise on SAP FM best practices, process optimization, and regulatory compliance.
• Actively participate in workshops, governance meetings, and progress reviews to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Connect FM with FI, CO, MM, PS, SD, HR to ensure seamless financial flows.

Desired qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s/ Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., SAP certifications) preferred.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with hands-on experience in SAP Funds Management (FM) and integration with FI/CO modules.
• Proven experience in implementing and optimizing Funds Management processes in SAP environments.
• Practical knowledge of fund allocations, commitment management, budget controls, and reporting workflows.
• Familiarity with data migration, reconciliation, and cutover activities for fund-related data.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve functional issues effectively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with Finance teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams.

Location and way of working

• Base location: Bangalore
• This profile involves frequent travelling to client locations
