Your work profile

  • We are looking for an experienced SAP Advanced Planning Solutions (APS) Manager to lead supply chain planning transformation and SAP implementation initiatives across SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), SAP S/4HANA Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS), and Advanced Available-to-Promise (aATP).
  • The ideal candidate will combine strong supply chain process knowledge with hands-on expertise in at least one APS solution area and the ability to lead end-to-end solution delivery, client engagements and project teams.
  • The role will involve translating complex supply chain requirements into scalable SAP solutions, driving integration across the SAP landscape, managing workstream delivery and contributing to solutioning, pre-sales and development of APS practice capabilities.

Solution & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead SAP APS implementation workstreams across discovery, requirements, design, configuration, testing, deployment and stabilization.
  • Facilitate business and solution design workshops with client stakeholders.
  • Analyze business requirements, planning challenges and system capabilities and translate them into scalable SAP solutions.
  • Own or review solution design, configuration, functional specifications, test scenarios and key functional deliverables.
  • Ensure solution quality, performance, data integrity and alignment with overall solution architecture.

SAP Advanced Planning Expertise

       Provide deep functional expertise in at least one of the following solution areas:

  • SAP IBP
  • Demand Planning
  • S&OP
  • Response & Supply (Time Series /Order Based)
  • Inventory Optimization
  • Planning Analytics / Control Tower

SAP S/4HANA PP/DS

  • Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling
  • Capacity Planning
  • Production Sequencing
  • Planning Heuristics
  • Optimization
  • Detailed Scheduling strategies and constraints

SAP S/4HANA aATP

  • Product Availability Check
  • Backorder Processing
  • Supply Protection
  • Alternative-Based Confirmation
  • Advanced order confirmation and fulfillment processes

Cross-functional expertise across multiple APS solutions will be an advantage.

     Supply Chain Process Expertise

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning processes including:
  • Demand Planning and Forecasting
  • Sales & Operations Planning / Integrated Business Planning
  • Supply and Response Planning
  • Material Requirements Planning
  • Production and Capacity Planning
  • Detailed Scheduling
  • Inventory Planning and Optimization
  • Distribution / Deployment Planning
  • Order Confirmation and Fulfillment
  • Apply supply chain leading practices and planning strategies while designing client solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning effectiveness, responsiveness, service levels, inventory and operational efficiency.

Architecture, Data & Integration

  • Design integrated planning solutions across SAP IBP, S/4HANA, PP/DS, aATP, ECC/APO and relevant non-SAP applications.
  • Collaborate with architecture, integration, data and technical teams to define end-to-end solution designs.
  • Understand planning master data, transactional data and integration requirements across the planning landscape.
  • Support resolution of complex functional, integration, data and performance issues.
  • Experience with planning analytics and technologies such as SAP Analytics Cloud, BW/4HANA or equivalent analytics platforms will be an advantage.

Project & Client Management

  • Lead functional workstreams and manage project plans, deliverables, timelines, resources, dependencies, risks and issues.
  • Track workstream progress and ensure delivery against agreed project objectives.
  • Establish effective relationships with client stakeholders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, Logistics and IT.
  • Communicate solution decisions, risks and expected outcomes to client and project leadership.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in resolving complex business and technology challenges.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach and mentor consultants and senior consultants.
  • Provide functional guidance and quality assurance to project teams.
  • Support capability development through training, knowledge sharing and development of reusable assets.
  • Foster collaboration across SAP functional, technical, data and integration teams.

Business Development & Practice Contribution

  • Support RFP/RFI responses, proposals, solutioning and effort estimation for SAP Advanced Planning opportunities.
  • Participate in client presentations, solution demonstrations and pre-sales workshops.
  • Contribute to development of APS offerings, accelerators, methodologies, demonstration assets and industry-specific solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging SAP capabilities and supply chain planning trends.
  • Identify opportunities for leveraging SAP Business AI/Joule, analytics, automation and AI/ML capabilities within supply chain planning.

 

Key skills required

  • 9–12 years of relevant SAP, supply chain and/or consulting experience.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in at least one of SAP IBP, SAP S/4HANA PP/DS or SAP S/4HANA aATP.
  • Demonstrated supply chain planning process knowledge relevant to the candidate's core solution.
  • Strong solution design and configuration capabilities.
  • Experience across the complete SAP implementation lifecycle.
  • At least one end-to-end implementation in the candidate's primary APS solution, preferably in a client-facing capacity.
  • Experience leading an SAP functional workstream and/or managing project team members.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into SAP functional and solution designs.
  • Understanding of integration with SAP S/4HANA/ECC and related enterprise applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to independently lead client discussions and solution workshops.
