Job Title: Manager | SAP MM | Bengaluru | SAP | DSA Consumer & TMT
Role Summary
The SAP MM Manager is responsible for managing, supporting, and enhancing SAP Materials Management (MM) processes across procurement, inventory management, warehouse management integration, and supply chain operations. The role involves leading SAP MM implementations, support projects, process improvements, stakeholder management, and a team of SAP consultants.
Key Responsibilities
SAP MM Functional Management
- Lead the design, implementation, and support of SAP MM solutions.
- Configure and support SAP MM modules including:
- Procurement
- Purchasing
- Inventory Management
- Vendor Management
- Material Master Data
- Invoice Verification
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
- Drive process standardization and optimization across procurement and inventory functions.
Project & Delivery Management
- Manage end-to-end SAP MM implementation, rollout, upgrade, and enhancement projects.
- Coordinate with business users, SAP teams, and external vendors.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Prepare functional specifications and oversee testing activities (SIT, UAT, and Cutover).
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact between business teams and IT.
- Conduct workshops and gather business requirements.
- Provide strategic recommendations for process improvements.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor SAP MM consultants and support teams.
- Allocate resources and monitor project activities.
- Conduct performance reviews and capability development initiatives.
Integration Management
- Work closely with SAP modules such as:
- SAP S/4HANA
- SAP SD
- SAP PP
- SAP FI/CO
- SAP WM/EWM
- SAP Ariba (preferred)
- Ensure seamless integration across business processes.
Support & Governance
- Manage incident resolution and production support.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, audit, and security requirements.
- Maintain SAP documentation, SOPs, and knowledge repositories.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- MBA is preferred.
- SAP MM Certification is preferred.
Experience
- 8-12+ years of SAP MM experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations and support projects.
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, retail, FMCG, or pharma industries preferred.
