Work you’ll do
The primary role is to make immediate, direct contributions to enhancing our clients’ competitive position and performance in ways that are distinctive, innovative, and sustainable.
To do this, one must perform the following activities within the firm:
Job Summary:
Deloitte is seeking a Senior Analyst with 5-8 years of experience in scripting (Bash, Python), application development (Java/JavaScript), and job automation/orchestration using Rundeck. The candidate will support automation initiatives, streamline deployment processes, and develop custom tools to improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash and Python to support deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks.
- Design, develop, and maintain Java and JavaScript applications or tools as part of automation or integration efforts.
- Implement and manage job orchestration and automation workflows using Rundeck.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and QA teams to automate repetitive tasks and integrate Rundeck workflows with CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in automation scripts, applications, and Rundeck job executions.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Document automation scripts, workflows, and processes for knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Mentor junior team members and assist in DevOps and automation training sessions.
- Participate actively in Agile development processes and ceremonies.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
- 2 - 4 years of hands-on experience with Bash and Python scripting for automation.
- Experience in Java and JavaScript development for application and tool development.
- Strong experience with Rundeck for job scheduling, orchestration, and automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and integration of automation workflows within pipelines.
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix systems and shell environments.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
Skills:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results under deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Java, Python, or DevOps automation tools.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with additional automation/orchestration tools (Ansible, Jenkins).
Eligibility criteria and requirements:
- Bachelors: Commerce/ Science / Engineering background from a premier institute preferred
- Willingness to travel for short and long term durations.
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal).
