Role: Sr. Consultant – AWS DevOps

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps professional to design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure. This role involves hands-on engineering, stakeholder collaboration, and contributing to high-quality delivery across the software development lifecycle.

Job Description (JD)

Work You’ll Do

• Deliver high-quality DevOps solutions within defined timelines
• Gather and analyze functional and technical requirements
• Work across the full software development lifecycle (design, build, deploy, support)
• Collaborate with onsite/offshore stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Conduct peer and team reviews to ensure quality standards
• Participate in Agile practices (sprint planning, retrospectives, estimation)
• Drive process improvements, automation, and innovation
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation, and team training

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD
• Provision AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible
• Set up AWS Landing Zones and manage multi-account environments
• Configure auto-scaling, auto-provisioning, and deployment automation
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Shell, PowerShell, YAML, and JSON
• Deploy and manage microservices using ECS/EKS, including Kubernetes manifests and Helm charts
• Work with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Step Functions, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch
• Implement monitoring and observability using CloudWatch, Datadog, Dynatrace, or Splunk
• Define and maintain Git branching strategies (Git Flow, trunk-based development)
• Ensure secure, scalable, and compliant cloud solutions

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• Master’s degree (MBA / M.Tech or equivalent) preferred
• AWS certifications or DevOps-related certifications strongly preferred

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–6 years of experience in DevOps or cloud engineering roles
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS DevOps tools and services
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS)
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Understanding of AWS networking (VPC, IAM, Security Groups)
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
• AWS Solutions Architect – Associate / Professional
• Experience with advanced observability and monitoring tools
• Exposure to cloud security and compliance practices
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
