Appian Lead

Experience: 6–10 Years

Role Type: Technical Lead / Team Lead

Role Summary

The Appian Lead is responsible for leading Appian application development teams, translating business requirements into scalable Appian solutions, and ensuring high‑quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of Appian applications and components
• Convert business requirements into functional and technical Appian designs
• Implement complex Appian features including SAIL interfaces, Records, and Process Models
• Guide developers on Appian best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization
• Coordinate with Architects on design alignment and technical decisions
• Perform code reviews, design reviews, and enforce quality standards
• Manage Appian objects, deployment packages, and environment promotions
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis
• Work closely with business analysts, QA, and DevOps teams

Required Skills & Experience

• 7–10 years of IT experience with 3–5 years of strong Appian development experience
• Hands‑on expertise in SAIL, Expression Rules, Records, and Process Automation
• Experience in integrations (REST, web services, databases)
• Good understanding of Appian performance tuning and best practices
• Ability to lead small to medium Appian teams
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills

Preferred Certifications

• Appian Certified Lead Developer
