Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Domain & Business Understanding
Understand and validate workflows across global asset management functions, including:
Portfolio Management
Trade Lifecycle (order creation, execution, settlement)
Fund Accounting
Risk & Compliance
Work closely with business analysts and product owners to interpret functional requirements and user stories
Test Automation & QA
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing
Build reusable test scripts using tools such as:
Selenium / Cypress / Playwright
RestAssured / Postman / API automation tools
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
Improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing effort
Functional Testing
Perform end-to-end testing for asset management platforms
Validate:
Trade processing & transaction flows
Market data integration
Pricing, NAV calculation, and reconciliation processes
Data & API Validation
Validate large financial datasets using SQL queries
Perform API testing for microservices and integration layers
Quality & Process Improvement
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
Collaborate with development teams to define acceptance criteria and test strategies
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements
Required Skills & Experience:
Domain Expertise
Strong experience in Banking / Financial Services, specifically:
Asset Management / Wealth Management
Capital Markets (preferred)
Understanding of:
Financial instruments (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives)
Trade lifecycle and investment systems
Technical Skills
Hands-on experience in test automation frameworks
Proficiency in programming languages such as:
Java / Python / JavaScript
Experience with:
Selenium / Cypress / Playwright
API testing tools (RestAssured, Postman)
CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab)
Strong SQL and data validation skills
Testing Knowledge
Good understanding of:
Functional, Regression, and Integration testing
Test planning & defect management tools (JIRA, ALM)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with investment management platforms (e.g., BlackRock Aladdin, Charles River, SimCorp, etc.)
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
Certification in:
ISTQB / Agile Testing
- Financial certifications (CFA Level 1 or equivalent – desirable)
Technical/Software Skills: PTV VISUM, PTV VISSIM, Arc-GIS, Q-GIS, AutoCAD 2D, SPSS, MS Office Suite, VISIO
Education:
Bachelor’s In Planning
