Business Analyst (BA): GBS FT Implement
Location: Mumbai, Pune

Job Description: Business Analysis is responsible for identifying and documenting the business needs of their clients and stakeholders and helping to determine feasible solutions to meet business needs or resolve business problems.
A. Key accountabilities:
1. Precisely capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements, including health, safety, security, usability, data, and supportability considerations.
2. Translate business requirements into functionality and assess the risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impacts of various solution options.
3. Assess and model processes, data flows, and technology to understand the current value and issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
4. Create clear documentation to communicate requirements and related information; keep updated to align with the solution over the project lifecycle.
5. Ensure traceability of requirements from business needs and requirements, through testing and scope changes, to final solution.
6. Interact with software suppliers, designers and developers to understand software limitations, deliver elements of system and database design, and ensure that business requirements and use cases are handled.
7. Configure and document software and processes, using agreed standards and tools.
8. Create acceptance criteria and validate that solutions meet business needs through defining and coordinating testing.
9. Seek guidance from more experienced BAs and be open to learning on-the-job. [Unique Characteristics of the Posting] [completed by hiring manager] Special Challenges:
10. Guide business stakeholders to gain acceptance / sign-off. Manage requirements to the smallest set that will provide the biggest impact in advancing business objectives and end-user buy-in.
11. Describe technology in terms easily understood by business customers and set realistic customer expectations for the project outcome. Adjust customer expectations in accordance with changes in scope.
12. Generate innovative approaches to existing problems or new opportunities.
13. Work closely with stakeholders to build trust and understand their goals, motivations, constraints, risks, and operating environment.
B. Skills & Requirements:
1. Minimum Education or Certification: 4-year Degree related to IT / Engineering/Comp Science
2. Experience in BFSI and Insurance domain - Understanding of financial services (e.g., investment banking (IB), wealth management, loan syndication, trade life cycle, trade processing, payments), Understanding of financial products (e.g., IB products, loans, savings accounts, credit cards, mutual funds, insurance), Knowledge of regulatory compliances (SEBI, financial institution regulations)
3. Agile framework project experience
4. Knowledge of the technology landscape including current and future developments and the most commonly available products and integrated solutions.
5. Ability to take a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving and pay close attention to detail.
6. Experience developing cost/benefit analysis and building business cases.
7. Strong interpersonal ability to communicate concisely and clearly.
8. CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA certification preferred.
9. Lean Practitioner training and experience are an asset.
10. Typical Experience: 5 to 8 years of corporate IT experience
11. Minimum Education or Certification: 4-year Degree related to IT/Engineering/Computer Science
12. Data Analytics and visualization experience preferred
13. Experience working with data compliance, risk management, cybersecurity
14. Good to have exposure to SQL, MS Excel, Azure DevOps and other tools
