Job Title: Lead Business Analyst (BA-PM Hybrid)
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced professional to lead strategic, cross-functional initiatives by combining strong business analysis expertise with end-to-end project/program delivery ownership. The role requires driving business value outcomes, shaping strategic vision, and ensuring successful execution across complex, global financial services programs.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Delivery
- Lead the delivery of strategic, cross-divisional initiatives using Agile/DevOps methodologies, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
- Partner with Engineering, Business, and Operations stakeholders to design and deliver complex solutions while balancing competing priorities
- Deputise for Program and Portfolio Managers in senior forums, contributing to strategic decision-making and program direction
- Drive transformation initiatives and support the evolution of ways of working across change and BAU teams
Business Analysis & Value Delivery
- Collaborate with stakeholders and end users to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements and user stories
- Ensure all deliverables are aligned with business value outcomes and commercial objectives
- Apply business architecture and modelling techniques (data dictionary, logical data models, process mapping)
- Analyse data and processes to identify opportunities, recommend solutions, and drive informed decision-making
- Work closely with consumers to gather feedback and continuously refine solutions
Program Governance & Execution
- Define and manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables
- Establish and run governance forums / SteerCo meetings, providing transparency on progress, risks, and budgets
- Identify, track, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies (RAID), including escalation to senior leadership
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution in collaboration with stakeholders
- Remove program-level impediments by leveraging stakeholder relationships and organizational influence
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Business, Technology, and Operations
- Act as a trusted advisor and partner, influencing decisions across teams outside direct control
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
- Foster collaboration across global, cross-functional teams and diverse cultural environments
Agile Delivery & Tools
- Drive delivery in an Agile / Scrum / DevOps environment, including sprint planning, tracking, and reporting
- Utilize tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Clarity, and SharePoint for delivery management and reporting
- Promote a continuous improvement mindset across teams and processes
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Business Analysis and Project/Program Management within financial services
- Deep domain knowledge in Investment Banking (Custody & Fund Services), Reference & Static Data
- Proven experience delivering complex, cross-functional programs in Agile environments
- Expertise in stakeholder management and influencing senior leadership
- Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, and delivery frameworks
- Experience in front-to-back operations (Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and project tracking tools
Good-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of Security Services and market security Operations (e.g., DTCC and market data vendors)
- Experience with multiple asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, Commodities, etc.)
- Exposure to Target Operating Model (TOM) design, platform convergence, and transformation programs
- Understanding of automated testing tools and frameworks
- Experience working in global trading environments with regulatory change initiatives
