Job Title:  Senior Consultant | Camunda | Bengaluru | Artificial Intelligence & Data | Robotics Process Automati

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Camunda Developer with 5–8 years of experience in software development and strong hands-on expertise in workflow automation, BPMN, microservices, and enterprise integration.

The candidate will own the design and implementation of business processes using Camunda and will work closely with architects and business stakeholders to deliver scalable workflow solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex business workflows using Camunda 8 and BPMN 2.0.
  • Design process flows involving service tasks, user tasks, gateways, events, timers, subprocesses, multi-instance activities, and error handling.
  • Develop Java/Spring Boot workers and microservices interacting with Camunda.
  • Design REST, event-driven, and asynchronous integrations.
  • Integrate Camunda with enterprise applications, databases, messaging platforms, and external APIs.
  • Develop DMN-based business decisions and integrate them into workflows.
  • Design retries, timeout, incident, compensation, and exception-handling strategies.
  • Analyse process performance and troubleshoot production workflow issues.
  • Work with Camunda Operate, Tasklist, and other operational capabilities.
  • Implement automated deployment of BPMN/DMN through CI/CD pipelines.
  • Participate in architecture and solution-design discussions.
  • Define reusable workflow and integration patterns.
  • Perform code/design reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Work with DevOps teams on Docker/Kubernetes/cloud deployments.
  • Participate in production support, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.

 

Required Skills: 

  • 5–8 years of software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Camunda, preferably Camunda 8.
  • Strong BPMN 2.0 knowledge.
  • Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
  • REST APIs and asynchronous/event-driven architecture.
  • Kafka or equivalent messaging technology.
  • SQL and relational databases.
  • Git and CI/CD.
  • Docker and Kubernetes fundamentals.
  • Experience with production troubleshooting and monitoring.

Good to Have:

  • Camunda 7 to Camunda 8 migration experience.
  • Camunda Connectors.
  • DMN.
  • RPA/UiPath integration.
  • AWS/Azure/GCP.
  • Helm/GitOps.
  • Experience with Camunda SaaS or Self-Managed.
  • Experience with RDBMS-based secondary storage.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI, AI agents, and MCP.
  • Experience integrating workflows with SAP, Salesforce, or other enterprise platforms.

 

Expected Capability: 

The candidate should be capable of taking ownership of a complete workflow solution, including process design, implementation, integrations, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support. The candidate should also be able to guide junior developers and contribute to technical design decisions.
