Your work profile

Lead D365FO implementation, upgrade, and support engagements.

* Analyze business requirements and translate them into D365FO solutions.

* Prepare functional/technical solution designs and estimates.

* Conduct requirement workshops and provide recommendations based on D365FO standard capabilities.

* Identify opportunities for process optimization and fit-to-standard adoption.

* Review customizations and ensure they follow Microsoft extensibility and development standards. 

* Develop and review **X++** code using best practices.

* Work with:

 * Classes and methods

 * Tables and table extensions

 * Forms and form extensions

 * Data entities

 * Chain of Command (CoC)

 * Event handlers

 * Delegates

 * Batch jobs

 * SysOperation framework

 * Workflows

 * Number sequences

 * Security and privileges

* Troubleshoot performance and production issues.

* Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to developers.

### Integrations

* Design and implement integrations between D365FO and external systems.

* Experience with:

 * OData

 * REST APIs

 * SOAP/services where applicable

 * Data entities

 * Business events

 * Dual-write

 * Recurring integrations

 * Azure services

 * Power Platform

* Analyze integration failures and establish appropriate error-handling and monitoring mechanisms.

### Data Migration

* Design and execute data migration strategies.

* Work with D365FO Data Management Framework (DMF).

* Develop and configure data entities for migration and integration scenarios.

* Support data cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and migration testing.

### Reporting & Analytics

* Work with SSRS reports and report extensions.

* Understand D365FO reporting architecture.

* Support Power BI and analytical/reporting requirements.

* Troubleshoot reporting and data-related issues.

### Power Platform & Copilot

* Work with Microsoft Power Platform integrations, including Power Automate and Power Apps.

* Understand D365FO extensibility with Microsoft Copilot and AI capabilities.

* Understand **Model Context Protocol (MCP)** concepts and their potential use with D365FO.

* Evaluate opportunities to expose business functionality and data securely to AI-assisted experiences.

### Leadership & Delivery

* Mentor junior and mid-level developers/consultants.

* Review technical deliverables and ensure quality.

* Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions.

* Coordinate with functional consultants, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders.

* Support estimation, planning, testing, deployment, and production support.

* Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key skills required

* Strong experience with **Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations**.

* Strong knowledge of **X++ and D365FO development**.

* Experience with D365FO extensions and the extension-based development model.

* Good understanding of D365FO architecture and application lifecycle.

* Experience with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps.

* Strong understanding of data entities and DMF.

* Experience with D365FO integrations and APIs.

* Experience with SSRS reporting.

* Understanding of Power Platform.

* Strong debugging and performance-tuning skills.

* Good understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.

* Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

## Preferred Skills

* Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications such as **MB-300, MB-500, or relevant Finance/SCM certifications**.

* Experience with D365FO implementation and upgrade projects.

* Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, or other Azure integration services.

* Experience with Power BI.

* Knowledge of LCS and deployment pipelines.

* Knowledge of automated testing and RSAT.

* Experience with D365FO performance optimization.

* Knowledge of Copilot extensibility and **MCP for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations**.

## Experience

**Typical requirement:** 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365FO, with significant hands-on experience in D365FO implementation, customization, integration, and technical consulting.
