Job Title: Senior Consultant – Data Centre Design

Job Summary:

Experienced engineer responsible for contributing to the design and build-out of new data centre facilities. This role focuses on preparing advanced design documents, technical specifications, and equipment BOMs, while collaborating with OEM partners and internal teams to support improvements in cost, quality, and deployment speed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate capacity requirements into detailed white space layouts and rack-level designs.
• Develop high-quality design documents, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Support new build projects throughout the design and construction phases (not necessarily leading entire projects end-to-end).
• Coordinate with OEMs, supply chain, and internal teams to help ensure adherence to standardized installation procedures.
• Provide technical guidance on cabling, fiber, cooling systems, and power components.
• Assist in reviewing technical documentation and contribute to external discussions when needed.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of data centre design standards and industry best practices.
• Solid technical knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and network systems.
• Proficiency in BOM creation and preparation of technical documentation.
• Good project coordination, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Educational Qualifications & Certifications:

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Relevant certifications in data centre management (preferred).

Experience Requirements:

7–10 years of experience in data centre design and engineering, preferably with exposure to new build or expansion projects.

Additional Considerations / Notes:

Experience working with OEM partners, proficiency in AutoCAD, FLOTHERM/Tileflow, and familiarity with industry standards (UMC, NFPA, ASHRAE, UBC, LEED, Uptime Institute) will be an advantage.
