Your Work Profile

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) processes for enterprise software products. This role focuses on software configuration management, build and release automation, DevOps transformation, artifact management, and cloud-based delivery pipelines. The candidate will play a key role in modernizing legacy software delivery processes and enabling efficient, scalable, and reliable software releases through industry-leading DevOps practices and toolchains.

Key Skills Required

•5–7 years of experience in Software Configuration Management (SCM), Build Engineering, and DevOps transformation initiatives.

•Strong understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD methodologies, and software release management processes.

•Hands-on experience with Git-based DevOps toolchains including:

• Azure DevOps
• GitLab
• Jenkins
• Artifactory

•Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using YAML configurations.

•Expertise in software configuration management, branching strategies, version control, and release governance.

•Experience with package management and artifact repositories including:

• NuGet
• npm
• Conan

•Experience implementing and managing static code analysis and quality gate solutions.

•Strong scripting capabilities using:

• PowerShell
• Batch Scripts
• Perl

•Experience developing and optimizing automated build scripts, build agents, deployment workflows, and release pipelines.

•Ability to migrate legacy software configuration management systems and release processes to modern DevOps platforms.

•Experience managing software maintenance releases, service packs, patches, and hotfix deliveries.

•Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•Ability to collaborate effectively with development, QA, architecture, release management, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Analyze CI/CD requirements and align DevOps solutions with business and project needs.

•Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, and associated tools.

•Manage source code repositories, branching strategies, versioning, and software configuration management processes.

•Automate build, test, packaging, deployment, and release activities.

•Package and publish software artifacts using NuGet, npm, and Conan package managers.

•Support migration of legacy SCM and build environments to modern DevOps platforms.

•Develop, maintain, and optimize build scripts, build agents, and deployment automation.

•Configure and maintain static code analysis tools and quality enforcement processes.

•Ensure adherence to organizational standards, compliance requirements, and software quality objectives.

•Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to streamline software delivery and release management processes.

•Identify opportunities to improve automation, deployment efficiency, and release reliability.

•Support maintenance releases, service packs, and hotfix deployment activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, MCA, M.Tech, M.E., or a related discipline.

•Experience with IBM ClearCase and legacy configuration management platforms.

•Exposure to cloud platforms including:

• Microsoft Azure
• Amazon Web Services (AWS)

•Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and automation frameworks.

•Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

•Experience with security scanning, vulnerability management, and DevSecOps practices.

•Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Lean, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

•Relevant certifications in Azure DevOps, AWS, GitLab, or related technologies will be an advantage.
