Consultant/Sr. Consultant :  GCP Infrastructure

As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.

Work you’ll do:

Apply industry knowledge to requirements gathering and analysis, ensuring alignment with sector needs. Demonstrate expertise across the entire software development lifecycle, from design and coding to deployment and defect resolution, collaborating with stakeholders for effective delivery. Conduct peer and team reviews to maintain quality standards. Actively engage in Agile practices, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and effort estimation. Build and share business process knowledge, supporting project knowledge management and team training. Proactively recommend process improvements, track efficiency gains, and contribute to automation and innovation, all aimed at enhancing project outcomes and delivering greater value to clients.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement GCP Landing Zones and multi-project architecture with folders and organizations.
• Provision and manage GCP resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Google Cloud Deployment Manager, and Ansible.
• Configure auto-scaling, auto-provisioning, and optimize resource utilization across GCP services (Managed Instance Groups, GKE autoscaling, Cloud Run).
• Implement network architecture including VPCs, subnets, routes, firewall rules, and Private Service Connect.
• Manage identities, roles, and policies using Google Cloud IAM (roles, policies, service accounts) and best practices for security and compliance.
• Set up monitoring and observability using Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging; integrate with third-party tools (Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk).
• Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies using snapshots, multi-region storage, and regional/zonal redundancy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for infrastructure planning, optimization, and governance (Organization Policies, Cloud Asset Inventory).

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with GCP infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools (Terraform, Deployment Manager, Ansible).
• Expertise in GCP networking (VPCs, subnets, routes, firewall rules, Private Service Connect), IAM, and security configurations (Cloud KMS, VPC Service Controls).
• Experience with multi-project GCP environments and governance frameworks (Folders, Organization Policies, Resource Hierarchy).
• Proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python, PowerShell) for automation.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Native Services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Bigtable/Firestore, Cloud Functions, GKE, Cloud Run).
• Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging; Datadog, Dynatrace).
• Strong understanding of security and compliance in GCP environments (Security Command Center, Cloud Armor, Secret Manager).

Desired Qualifications:

• 5+ years in GCP Infrastructure roles.
• Google Cloud Certifications: Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Professional Cloud Network Engineer.
• Exposure to cost optimization and performance tuning (Billing, Budgets, Recommender, Compute Optimizer-like tools).
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Education- Any Graduate
