MercuryGate Consultant:
We are seeking an experienced and resourceful MercuryGate Consultant to help design, implement, and support critical transportation management solutions. As part of our team, you will work with clients to optimize logistics processes using MercuryGate’s Transportation Management System (TMS) platform. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who can bridge complex business requirements and technical solutions in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Support: Primary responsibility as MercuryGate support consultant to handle MercuryGate application related issues and on integration related issues and requests.
Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring reliable TMS operations and supporting users with technical queries.
Enhancement Support: Lead and participate in MercuryGate TMS Enhancement implementations, including requirements gathering, workflow development, testing, and go-live support.
Solution Design: Analyze business logistics and transportation requirements, and develop innovative solutions within the MercuryGate TMS platform.
Configuration & Integration: Configure MercuryGate modules (e.g., carrier management, load planning, rate management) and integrate with external systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, EDI/process automation tools).
Client Training: Deliver user training sessions and create documentation to support client self-sufficiency and adoption.
Continuous Improvement: Identify process enhancement opportunities and deploy MercuryGate features to increase operational efficiency and visibility.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, or related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience with MercuryGate TMS implementations, support, or solution delivery.
Strong knowledge of supply chain, logistics, and transportation processes.
Experience with system configuration, integration techniques (e.g., EDI, APIs), and workflow automation.
Proficiency in SQL and report building within MercuryGate or similar TMS platforms.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a client-facing environment.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
MercuryGate TMS certifications or training.
Experience with other TMS platforms (e.g., SAP TM, Oracle OTM).
Working knowledge of ERP, WMS, or other supply chain software integration.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Prior consulting or professional services background.
