Job Title: Senior Consultant – SAP RAR (Revenue Accounting and Reporting)

Job Summary:

Deloitte is seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant with 5 – 8 years of experience in SAP Finance, including at least 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP RAR. The candidate will lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting solutions, aligning with IFRS 15 or ASC 606 compliance for global clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead SAP RAR implementations or rollouts, ensuring compliance with IFRS 15 / ASC 606.
• Configure and support Revenue Accounting Contracts, Performance Obligations, and Revenue Postings.
• Design and implement rules for revenue recognition based on business policies.
• Integrate RAR with SAP SD, FI, CRM, and Project Systems (PS) modules.
• Conduct blueprinting workshops, requirement gathering, gap analysis, and solution design.
• Manage RAR event processing, Revenue Posting Runs, and Transfer Price logic.
• Work closely with finance, audit, and compliance teams to align technical solutions with accounting principles.
• Collaborate with development teams for enhancements, reports, and custom logic in RAR.
• Support testing (SIT/UAT), data migration, cutover activities, and hypercare.
• Provide post-go-live support and ongoing RAR optimization for business teams.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience:

• 5 – 8 years of total experience in SAP Finance with 3+ years of direct experience in SAP RAR.
• Strong understanding of Revenue Recognition standards – IFRS 15 / ASC 606.
• Experience with at least 1–2 full-cycle SAP RAR implementations.
• Hands-on configuration knowledge in SAP RAR and integration with SD and FI.

Skills:

• Expertise in RAR master data, event-based revenue recognition, and contract modifications.
• Ability to debug and analyze RAR issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile or Waterfall implementation methodologies.
• Comfortable in leading client-facing workshops and technical discussions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP Certification in SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting.
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance (RAR component).
• Exposure to SAP BRIM, Subscription Billing, or Telco billing systems.
• Prior consulting experience with global clients across industries (e.g., telecom, media, software).
