Job Summary:

Deloitte is seeking a Senior Consultant – QA Engineer with 6 to 9 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance. The role involves leading QA efforts across enterprise-level projects, designing test strategies, implementing automation frameworks, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions for global clients.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead QA planning and execution for complex enterprise projects across functional, regression, and system testing.
  • Develop and maintain test automation scripts using tools like SeleniumTestNGCypressPlaywright, or similar.
  • Design and implement robust test strategies, test cases, and test data management plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product owners, business analysts) to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Manage defect lifecycle using tools like JIRAAzure DevOps, or ALM.
  • Set up and manage test automation pipelines integrated into CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Conduct performance testing using tools like JMeterLoadRunner, or Gatling (if required).
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and testing best practices.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and lead small testing teams.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support sprint planning from a QA perspective.

 

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.

Experience:

  • 5 – 8 years of total QA experience, with a strong focus on both manual and automated testing.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, etc.) and frameworks (BDD, Page Object Model).
  • Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments with frequent code releases.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC).

 

Skills:

  • Strong scripting knowledge in JavaJavaScriptPython, or C# for test automation.
  • Familiarity with APIs and experience using tools like PostmanSoapUI, or REST Assured.
  • Ability to create and manage test automation pipelines in CI/CD environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Graduate degree (Science or Engineering) from premier institutes.
  • Willingness to travel for short and long term durations.
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal).
