    Your work profile

    • Lead SAP ABAP RAP development initiatives across SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementation, transformation, enhancement, and innovation programs.
    • Design and develop transactional and analytical applications using SAP ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) following SAP clean-core principles and best practices.
    • Develop and enhance ABAP on HANA solutions utilizing CDS Views, AMDPs, OData Services, and RAP-based application architectures.
    • Design and develop custom business objects, behavior definitions, behavior implementations, service definitions, and service bindings within the RAP framework.
    • Build SAP Fiori Elements applications leveraging RAP architecture to deliver scalable and user-centric business solutions.
    • Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solution designs.
    • Develop custom enhancements, reports, interfaces, workflows, APIs, and integration components across SAP and non-SAP systems.
    • Ensure solution designs align with SAP S/4HANA extensibility frameworks and clean-core transformation strategies.
    • Perform technical design reviews, code reviews, quality assurance assessments, and development governance activities.
    • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, optimize performance, and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
    • Support unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, go-live, and Hypercare activities.
    • Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across project delivery teams.
    • Contribute to technical architecture discussions, development standards, accelerators, and capability-building initiatives.

    Key Requirements

    • 8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA development frameworks.
    • Proven hands-on experience in SAP ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) development.
    • Experience in at least one end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementation project.
    • Strong expertise in ABAP on HANA development concepts and performance optimization techniques.
    • Extensive experience with Core Data Services (CDS Views), ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP), OData Services, and SAP Fiori technologies.
    • Strong understanding of RAP architecture including business objects, behavior definitions, service definitions, service bindings, and transactional processing.
    • Experience developing SAP Fiori Elements applications and integrating RAP services with SAP Fiori applications.
    • Knowledge of Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF) and its relevance within RAP-based development models.
    • Strong experience in designing custom extensions while maintaining SAP clean-core and upgrade-friendly architecture principles.
    • Experience integrating SAP applications with external systems using APIs, web services, OData, REST, and other integration technologies.
    • Ability to perform technical solution design, code reviews, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and quality assurance activities.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
    • Experience working in Agile delivery environments and SAP S/4HANA transformation programs is highly desirable.

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
    • SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP for SAP HANA or equivalent SAP development certification is preferred.
    • SAP S/4HANA Extensibility, SAP BTP, SAP Fiori, or RAP-related certifications will be an added advantage.
    • Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP CAP, SAP Integration Suite, and modern SAP development frameworks is desirable.
    • Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise-scale SAP transformation programs is preferred.
    • Strong consulting, client-facing, technical leadership, and mentoring experience at Senior Consultant level will be an added advantage.
