Job Title: Senior Consultant – SAP Basis
Location: PAN India (Bengaluru / Hyderabad / Mumbai / Gurugram / Pune)
Experience: 5–9 years
Role Overview
- Lead SAP Basis administration and technical support across large-scale SAP ECC and S/4HANA transformation programs.
- Drive system stability, performance optimization, and technical upgrades while ensuring adherence to Deloitte delivery standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable seamless SAP landscape operations across on-premise and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Basis Administration
- Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager).
- Manage client copies, system refreshes, kernel upgrades, and support pack implementations.
- Oversee SAP Transport Management System (TMS) and change control processes.
- Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
S/4HANA & Migration Support
- Support S/4HANA conversions (Brownfield/Greenfield) and system migrations.
- Assist in OS/DB migration projects (Oracle to HANA, etc.).
- Manage SAP HANA database administration including backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
- Support SAP Fiori, Gateway, and Web Dispatcher configurations.
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Work on SAP deployments in cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Configure high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) setups.
- Support hybrid and multi-system landscapes.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams on server sizing and capacity planning.
Monitoring & Performance Optimization
- Conduct system health checks and EarlyWatch alerts.
- Optimize performance at OS, DB, and application layers.
- Implement automation and monitoring tools where applicable.
- Ensure minimal downtime during upgrades and maintenance windows.
Security & Compliance
- Coordinate with SAP Security and GRC teams for access and compliance requirements.
- Support patching, vulnerability remediation, and audit readiness.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL processes and governance standards.
Client & Delivery Management
- Participate in client workshops and technical discussions.
- Provide effort estimation and support project planning.
- Prepare technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.
- Ensure adherence to Deloitte quality and delivery frameworks.
Required Skills
- 5–9 years of hands-on SAP Basis experience.
- Strong expertise in:
- SAP ECC & S/4HANA administration
- SAP HANA database management
- SAP Solution Manager & ChaRM
- System copies and upgrades
- Knowledge of OS/DB environments (Linux, Windows, Oracle, HANA, SQL Server).
- Understanding of SAP Fiori and Gateway setup.
Qualification
BTECH/BE
- SAP Certified Technology Associate (HANA/S/4HANA).
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- ITIL certification preferred.
- Exposure to automation scripting (Shell/Python) is an advantage.
