Job Description: SAP PI/PO Senior Consultant – CPI Migration

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP PI/PO Senior Consultant to lead and execute the migration of integration interfaces from SAP PI/PO to SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI). The role involves end-to-end ownership of integration development, technical design, testing, and support, while mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead analysis of existing SAP PI/PO interfaces, mappings, and adapters.
• Design and develop CPI iFlows aligned with target integration architecture.
• Drive PI/PO to CPI migration strategy, including re-engineering where required.
• Develop complex message mappings, value mappings, XSLT, and Java/Groovy scripts.
• Configure and optimize CPI adapters (IDoc, RFC, SOAP, REST, SFTP, OData, HTTPS).
• Coordinate with functional, ABAP, BASIS, and external system teams.
• Own unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT and defect resolution.
• Provide production support, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Prepare and review technical design documents, migration plans, and test artifacts.
• Support cutover planning and go-live activities.
• Guide and mentor Consultant-level team members.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of experience in SAP PI/PO development and support.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP CPI (Integration Suite).
• Deep understanding of integration patterns, middleware architecture, and messaging concepts.
• Expertise in message mapping, XSLT, Java, and Groovy scripting.
• Strong experience with SAP and non-SAP adapters (IDoc, RFC, REST, SOAP, SFTP, OData).
• Experience integrating ECC and S/4HANA with SAP and third-party systems.
• Exposure to cloud-to-on-premise connectivity and security concepts.

Good to Have

• Prior experience in large-scale PI/PO to CPI migration programs.
• Knowledge of API Management and event-based integrations.
• Experience with CPI monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning.
• SAP BTP Integration Suite certification.

Soft Skills

• Strong stakeholder communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and take technical ownership.
• Experience in mentoring and reviewing junior consultants’ work.
