SAP SD Senior Consultant – Job Description

Position: SAP SD Senior Consultant

Experience: 6–10 Years

Location: Pan India / Bangalore / Hyderabad / Chennai / Pune (as applicable)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) solutions.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Configure SAP SD modules including:
  • Sales Order Management
  • Pricing
  • Shipping
  • Billing
  • Credit Management
  • Output Determination
  • Partner Determination
  • Availability Check (ATP)
  • Copy Controls
• Work closely with business stakeholders to provide functional solutions and process improvements.
• Perform system testing, integration testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Prepare functional specifications for developments and coordinate with technical (ABAP) teams.
• Support production issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, especially MM, FI/CO, WM/EWM, TM, and PP.
• Participate in end-to-end SAP implementation, rollout, migration, or support projects.
• Mentor junior consultants and support knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Skills

• 6–10 years of hands-on SAP SD experience.
• Strong expertise in Order-to-Cash (OTC) business processes.
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA SD implementations or migrations.
• Hands-on experience in pricing, billing, shipping, delivery processing, and output management.
• Strong understanding of integration with MM, FI/CO, WM/EWM, TM, and PP.
• Experience in preparing functional specifications and working with ABAP developers.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications.
• Exposure to IDOCs, EDI, Interfaces, and APIs.
• Experience in global implementation or rollout projects.
• SAP SD Certification is preferred.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• SAP Certification is an added advantage.
