SAP Datasphere Developer

We are seeking an experienced SAP Datasphere Developer with strong expertise in building scalable data models and hands‑on proficiency in SQL. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize data models within SAP Datasphere (DSP), ensuring high data quality, performance, and usability for analytics and business applications.

Should have 5-8 Years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

Data Modeling & Development

• Design, build, and manage data models (graphical, SQL, entity relationship models) in SAP Datasphere.
• Develop local tables, views, analytical datasets, and semantic models to support reporting and analytics use cases.
• Implement data transformations, calculation logic, and business rules using DSP capabilities.
• Write high‑quality, efficient SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT).
• Optimize SQL queries for performance, scalability, and data accuracy.
• Troubleshoot SQL and modeling‑related issues across datasets and data flows.
• Familiarity with SAP ecosystem (e.g., ABAP, BWonHANA, BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud)
• Work with Data Integration Monitor, Replication Flows, and Connections within SAP Datasphere.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, business SMEs, and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into DSP models.

Senior SAP Datasphere Developer

We are looking for a Senior SAP Datasphere Developer with deep expertise in enterprise‑grade data modeling, solution design, and SQL development. In this role, you will lead end‑to‑end architecture, development, optimization, and governance of data models and data flows within SAP Datasphere. You will also guide junior developers, define best practices, and collaborate closely with business and technology teams to shape our data strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Lead the design and architecture of complex data models, semantic layers, and data pipelines in SAP Datasphere.
• Define modeling standards, patterns, and best practices for DSP development.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to developers.
• Review solution designs, SQL scripts, and data flows to ensure quality and scalability.
• Build and optimize layered data models, including physical, logical, and semantic layers.
• Work with Entity Relationship (ER) models, star/snowflake schemas, analytical datasets, and federated models
• Strong expertise in SQL development, with proven experience in writing and optimizing complex SQL logic.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in DSP models, dataflows, and connections.
• Lead design and deployment of replication flows, dataflows, and connections with cloud/on‑prem systems.
• Partner with business SMEs, analytics teams, architects, and product owners to shape long‑term data strategy.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable DSP solutions.
• Participate in roadmap planning, effort estimation, and architecture reviews.
• Strong background in data modeling techniques, dimensional modeling, and analytical modeling.

Good to have skills

• Experience with SAP BTP & cloud architectures.
• Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) modeling and integration.
