Role:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced .NET Core Backend Engineer to join our development team. You will be responsible for designing and building scalable backend services and APIs using .NET Core, integrating with databases, and deploying applications on Azure. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of C#, ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework, and microservices architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using .NET Core, C#, and ASP.NET Web API.
• Design and implement microservices that are scalable, maintainable, and secure.
• Work with Entity Framework and LINQ for data access and manipulation.
• Integrate with SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs for internal and external applications.
• Deploy and manage applications using Azure App Services and Azure Functions.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and QA teams in an agile environment.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring high performance and uptime.

The Team strategic growth team serves as a central pillar driving growth and transformation within Deloitte, spanning several business lines and various technology functions.  We are established as a centralized team collaborating across consulting, implementation, and operation to maintain and enhance client value offerings and services. We innovate conventional approaches, leveraging Deloitte technology, differentiated domain expertise, intellectual property, talent, and capacity to embed continuous advantage and deliver enhanced business value.

In this team, our focus is on catering to the unique needs and preferences of clients in the South Asia region. Your role within this dynamic team is essential for establishing networks and relationships across the client stakeholder ecosystem and ensuring service fulfillment. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other Deloitte leadership and stakeholders dedicated to the client. Your contributions will involve nurturing new and existing relationships, supporting presales life cycles, and playing a pivotal role in driving the success of Deloitte business growth for the specific client.

Your work profile

• Strong experience with .NET Core, C#, and ASP.NET Web API.
• Proficiency in Entity Framework, LINQ, and database design.
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Exposure to Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and cloud-native development.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and agile development practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Desired qualifications

• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of API security and authentication (OAuth2, JWT).
• Exposure to monitoring tools and logging frameworks.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Location and way of working

• Base location: Bhubaneswar/Chennai/Bengaluru/Mumbai/Pune/Gurgaon
• This profile involves frequent travelling to client locations
