Your work profile

Design, develop, test, and maintain subsurface software applications, Petrel plug-ins, APIs, and cloud-based integration solutions that support geological modeling, seismic interpretation, and reservoir characterization workflows. Work closely with geoscientists and engineers to automate and optimize subsurface interpretation processes using modern technologies, AI/ML, and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Petrel (Ocean SDK) plug-ins and subsurface workflows.
• Build desktop, cloud, and integration solutions using C#, .NET, Azure, and Python.
• Develop APIs and data pipelines for geoscience and reservoir modeling applications.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into subsurface interpretation workflows.
• Ensure software quality through testing, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Participate in Agile development and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.

• 5–8 Years of relevant experience required

Mandatory Skills

• C#, .NET, Azure
• DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes
• Petrel (Ocean SDK) Development
• OAuth, Authentication & Cybersecurity
• Oil & Gas domain knowledge, especially Geology/Geophysics/Subsurface Modeling
• Experience with static/dynamic modeling tools (e.g., Jewel Suite)
• Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
• Python development experience

Preferred Qualifications

• AI/ML, High Performance Computing (HPC)
• Software Architecture & Design Patterns
• OpenGL, Qt, OSDU
• Familiarity with Petrel, Techlog, Studio, and related subsurface platforms
• Education- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geology, or Geophysics (Master's preferred).

Location and Way of Working: 

• Hybrid Bangalore (4 Days a week office)
