Your work profile
As a Senior Team Lead you are responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and management of network architecture, firewall administration, and secure connectivity across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. This role requires strong technical expertise in networking and security, ensuring reliable operations, scalability, and secure enterprise infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in both traditional networking (data center LAN/WAN) and cloud-native networking (Azure, AWS, GCP), along with next-generation firewall technologies such as FortiGate, Palo Alto, or Check Point.
Network & Cloud Infrastructure
• Support the design, implementation, and management of enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, load balancers, VPNs, and network segmentation.
• Manage cloud-native networking (VPC/VNet, routing tables, NAT gateways, Network Security Groups, etc.) in Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.
• Implement and maintain hybrid connectivity between data centers and cloud (e.g., Azure ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect, VPN gateways).
• Support IP address management, DNS configuration, and traffic routing requirements.
• Configure and maintain dynamic routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and route redistribution across enterprise and cloud environments.
• Assist in implementing high-availability network architectures, including redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Manage network peering, transit gateways, hub-and-spoke architectures, and inter-region/inter-cloud connectivity.
• Support enterprise wireless networking infrastructure and network access control solutions where applicable.
Firewall & Security
• Administer and maintain enterprise firewall solutions, including FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, or Check Point.
• Manage cloud-based firewalls and network security tools within Azure, AWS, and GCP (e.g., Azure Firewall, AWS WAF, GCP Cloud Armor).
• Implement firewall rules, segmentation policies, and secure remote access (SSL/IPSec VPNs).
• Monitor and enforce network security standards in alignment with compliance requirements.
• Support the implementation of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), micro-segmentation, and secure access architectures.
• Collaborate with security teams for vulnerability remediation, threat mitigation, and incident response activities.
• Manage IDS/IPS, DDoS protection, web application firewalls, and network security monitoring solutions.
Operations & Project Delivery
• Participate in network infrastructure projects, migrations, upgrades, and audits.
• Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues across cloud and data center environments.
• Collaborate with application, cloud, DevOps, and security teams to support business initiatives.
• Maintain detailed documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Perform network capacity planning, performance optimization, and infrastructure lifecycle activities.
• Participate in on-call support, incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem management activities.
• Contribute to network standardization, automation, and operational improvement initiatives.
Key Skills Required
• 5–8 years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with at least 3+ years of experience in cloud-native environments.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, and Layer 2/3 networking concepts.
• Hands-on experience with FortiGate (preferred) and/or other firewall technologies such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, or Check Point.
• Experience with cloud networking in Azure, AWS, or GCP, including routing, peering, and security configurations.
• Experience with SD-WAN, load balancing, and network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, etc.).
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostics, and packet analysis skills.
• Good understanding of network security best practices and zero-trust principles.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise routing and switching platforms from Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or equivalent vendors.
• Understanding of network high availability, redundancy protocols (HSRP, VRRP), and disaster recovery networking concepts.
• Experience with network performance monitoring, traffic analysis, and capacity planning.
• Familiarity with cloud connectivity services such as AWS Transit Gateway, Azure Virtual WAN, Cloud Router, and cloud-native load balancing services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as:
- FCP, Fortinet NSE 4/5/7
- AWS/Azure/GCP Networking Specialty
- CCNA/ CCNP / PCNSE / Palo Alto Networks Certified
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code for networking (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Exposure to firewall automation and policy management tools.
- Education-Any Bachelors
