Your work profile

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in DBT, SQL, Airflow, and Cosmos to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines. This role requires a mix of technical depth, data modelling expertise, and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Collect, preprocess, and analyse payment datasets (credit card, UPI) to extract meaningful features, including embeddings, time-series signals, and customer behavior patterns. 

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using DBT, Airflow, and Cosmos.
• Build and optimize complex SQL transformations for large-scale datasets.
• Implement robust data models following best practices in analytics engineering.
• Orchestrate workflows and ensure reliability, monitoring, and performance of pipelines.
• Collaborate with data analysts, BI teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and documentation across data assets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and performance issues.
• Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to best practices and standards.

Key skills required

• Education -  Any Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with DBT (data modeling, testing, documentation).
• Advanced SQL skills with performance tuning expertise.
• Experience with Apache Airflow for orchestration.
• Familiarity with Cosmos (or similar modern data orchestration frameworks).
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (star schema, dimensional modeling).
• Experience working with cloud platforms, Primarily with AWS Redshift, S3 etc.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Good to Have

• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Exposure to data governance and data quality frameworks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices in data engineering using GitHub.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of Informatica Power Center
