Your work profile

As a Senior Team Lead at Deloitte you are responsible to support and optimize enterprise Windows Server and VMWare environments across data centers and hybrid infrastructures. This role requires deep hands-on experience in Windows Server management, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, patching, clustering, VMWare Virtualization and performance troubleshooting.

The Senior Consultant will provide advanced technical support (L2/L3), lead critical operational tasks, participate in infrastructure improvement initiatives, and ensure the stability, security, and reliability of Wintel platforms.

 

Windows

·      Windows, Clustering, Patching, AD, DNS, OVM,Vmware, Azure

·      Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022).

·      Perform server provisioning, OS installation, configuration, hardening, and lifecycle management.

·      Conduct regular health checks, performance tuning, and capacity analysis of Windows server infrastructure.

·      Administer Active Directory including user/group management, OU structures, GPO creation and troubleshooting, domain controller maintenance, replication health, and FSMO roles. Manage and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, DFS, and other core Windows services.

·      Implement and review AD security policies, authentication mechanisms, and domain hardening standards.

·      Support and maintain Windows Failover Clusters for mission-critical workloads (file clusters, application clusters, SQL clusters, Hyper-V clusters, etc.).

·      Perform cluster validation, failover testing, quorum configuration, and performance monitoring.

·      Troubleshoot node issues, cluster communication failures, heartbeat problems, and HA-related incidents.

·      Execute patching cycles using WSUS/SCCM or other patch automation tools.

·      Perform patch impact analysis, testing, rollout, troubleshooting, and remediation of failed patches.

·      Ensure compliance with vulnerability management, security baselines, and audit requirements.

·      Handle advanced L2/L3 incidents, analyze root causes, and implement permanent fixes.

·      Manage change requests, perform planned maintenance, and support DR drills as needed.

·      Work closely with network, storage, security, VMware, and application teams for integrated troubleshooting.

·      Maintain accurate SOPs, infrastructure documentation, topology diagrams, and configuration records.

·      Identify areas for automation using PowerShell or scripts to streamline operations.

·      Contribute to infrastructure modernization initiatives such as OS upgrades, AD improvements, or cluster redesigns.

 

VMWare:

·      Deploy and configure hypervisors and virtualization clusters

·      Install and manage VMware environments

·      Provision VMs, templates, networks, and storage

·      Perform OS installation and patching (Linux/Windows)

·      Execute L2 troubleshooting and incident resolution

·      Perform assessment and capacity planning for VMWare Environment

·      Implement DR and backup strategies (RPO/RTO based)

·      Support backup, restore, and DR drills

·      Design compute, storage, network, and virtualization architecture

·      Create HLD/LLD and operational procedures

·      Size environments based on workloads (CPU, RAM, IOPS, throughput)

·      Deploy VMWare clusters and automate provisioning

·      Implement container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes)

·      Maintain documentation, SOPs, and runbooks

·      Drive performance tuning and optimization

·      Support cloud migrations and workload onboarding

 

 

  Key skills required: 

Education-Bachelors in Engineering

·      5+ years of experience in Wintel/Windows Server administration.

·      Experience supporting mid-to-large scale enterprise Windows environments.

·      Strong expertise in Windows Server administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

·      Hands-on experience with Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and related infrastructure services.

·      Solid knowledge of Windows Failover Clustering, HA concepts, quorum configuration, and cluster diagnostics.

·      Experience with WSUS, SCCM, or other patching and configuration management tools.

·      Working knowledge of VMware/Hyper-V virtualization environments.

·      Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation of routine tasks.

·      Strong exposure to incident, change, and problem management (ITIL framework).

·      Ability to handle high-priority incidents and drive root-cause analysis.

·      Strong fundamentals in: Virtualization (VMware/Nutanix)

  • Storage (SAN/NAS/HCI)
  • Networking basics (VLAN, routing, firewall concepts)
  • Linux/Windows OS admin

·      Basic scripting (PowerShell/Bash/Python)

·      Understanding of backup tools (Veeam/Commvault/etc.)

·      Exposure to containers/Kubernetes/OpenShift (preferred)

·      Microsoft certifications (MCSA / MCSE / Azure Administrator / Windows Server Hybrid Administrator).

·      VCP / Nutanix NCA / RHCSA

·      Experience in Managed Services or large enterprise infrastructure environments.

·      Understanding of security frameworks, endpoint protection, and compliance standards.
