Your work profile
As a Manager in the Automotive and Mobility practice, you will be expected to:
- Lead end-to-end client engagements and major workstreams across sales transformation, dealer network optimization, go-to-market strategy, customer experience, pricing, aftersales, and profitability improvement.
- Take ownership of engagement planning, governance, execution, and delivery, ensuring that project objectives, timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
- Translate ambiguous business challenges into structured problem statements, analytical frameworks, and practical implementation roadmaps.
- Direct market, customer, competitor, and operational analyses to generate insights and develop commercially viable recommendations for clients.
- Partner with senior client stakeholders to define strategic priorities and design future-ready business models across electric vehicles, connected mobility, digital retail, sustainability, and emerging mobility ecosystems.
- Build trusted relationships with client leadership teams and serve as a key point of contact for project governance, issue resolution, and executive-level communication.
- Lead client workshops, steering committee discussions, and executive presentations, effectively communicating insights, recommendations, risks, and implementation priorities.
- Manage and mentor teams of consultants and analysts by setting clear expectations, reviewing deliverables, providing ongoing feedback, and supporting professional development.
- Allocate team resources effectively, monitor individual and team performance, and foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-accountability working environment.
- Ensure delivery excellence through rigorous quality reviews, effective risk management, and adherence to engagement governance and professional standards.
- Identify delivery risks, interdependencies, and implementation barriers, and proactively develop appropriate mitigation plans.
- Support clients in moving from strategy to execution by defining operating models, governance structures, performance indicators, implementation plans, and change-management requirements.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships by recognizing emerging business needs and developing relevant solutions.
- Lead or contribute to proposal development, solution design, effort estimation, commercial discussions, and business development activities.
- Support account planning and pipeline development for priority automotive, mobility, retail, and consumer-sector clients.
- Contribute to the growth of the automotive and mobility practice by developing reusable methodologies, tools, credentials, case studies, and intellectual property.
- Drive thought leadership on automotive retail, dealer performance, electric mobility, connected vehicles, digital customer journeys, and customer-centric growth strategies.
- Represent the practice in internal and external forums, including industry discussions, knowledge sessions, client events, and capability-building initiatives.
Your Qualification
- MBA/PGDM from a premier institute or an equivalent postgraduate qualification.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in management consulting, automotive strategy, OEM sales and distribution, dealer operations, customer transformation, or mobility-related roles.
- Strong understanding of automotive retail, dealer network operations, sales and aftersales models, pricing, profitability, customer experience, and digital transformation.
- Knowledge of electric vehicles, connected mobility, digital retail, sustainability, and emerging automotive and mobility business models.
- Demonstrated experience in independently leading projects or complex workstreams from problem definition through recommendation and implementation planning.
- Proven ability to manage project teams, delegate responsibilities, review outputs, provide constructive feedback, and develop junior team members.
- Experience engaging senior stakeholders, facilitating executive discussions, and managing expectations in complex client environments.
- Strong business acumen, structured problem-solving capability, analytical thinking, and executive-level communication skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights, compelling narratives, and actionable recommendations.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, resource management, governance, risk management, and quality assurance.
- Experience contributing to proposals, client pitches, solution development, or other business development activities.
- Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams.
