Job Description
Omniverse Developer (Python/USD Specialist)
* Custom Extension Development: Develops custom Omniverse Kit extensions using Python to create specialized tools, UIs, and functionalities tailored for AEC/Manufacturing workflows (e.g., custom measurement tools, data ingestion scripts).
* USD API & SDK Mastery: Utilizes the Universal Scene Description (USD) APIs to programmatically manipulate, generate, and manage 3D scene data, enabling dynamic and data-driven environments.
* Connector & Integration Development: Builds or integrates connectors to link Omniverse with existing AEC/Manufacturing software (e.g., Revit, SolidWorks, PLM systems, IoT platforms) for seamless data exchange.
* Workflow Automation: Scripts and automates complex workflows within Omniverse, such as automated model checking, clash detection enhancements, or procedural generation of environment elements.
* Simulation & AI Integration Support: Works with simulation engineers to integrate physics, AI, or robotic simulations within the Omniverse environment.
* Performance Optimization: Profiles and optimizes custom extensions and scenes for efficient performance, especially with large and complex datasets common in AEC and manufacturing.
* API & Microservice Integration: Connects Omniverse applications with external APIs and microservices for enhanced data access and functionality.
