Your work profile
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst / Project Manager (BA/PM) Hybrid to join our Market Security Services (MSS) team. This role sits at the intersection of business operations and technology, with a primary concentration on business analysis and a complementary focus on project management. You will specialize in the MSS domain—specifically targeting Accounts, SSIs, Books, Hierarchy, and Pricing. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between stakeholders and technical teams to drive process improvements, implement system enhancements, and ensure the integrity of our security data, financial workflows, and account structures.
1. Business Analysis & Requirement Engineering (Core Focus)
- Domain Expertise: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Market Security Services, specifically focusing on Accounts management, Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI), Books architecture, Account Hierarchy, and Pricing models.
- Requirement Gathering: Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document complex business requirements for post-trade and static data systems.
- Documentation: Create high-quality business requirement documents (BRD), functional specification documents (FSD), user stories, and process flow diagrams (UML/BPMN).
- Gap Analysis: Perform detailed gap analysis between current "As-Is" processes and desired "To-Be" states to identify automation opportunities in data setup and trade routing.
2. Domain-Specific Focus Areas
- Accounts & Hierarchy: Streamline the onboarding and management of client/entity accounts, ensuring robust parent-child account hierarchy models and internal "Books" mapping for accurate downstream reporting.
- Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI): Oversee the automation and maintenance of SSIs across custody and clearing networks to mitigate settlement risk and reduce trade fail rates.
- Pricing & Valuation: Collaborate with pricing desks and market data vendors to implement or refine instrument valuation models, ensuring the integrity of real-time price feeds, corporate action adjustments, and end-of-day valuations.
3. Project Management (Adaptive Focus)
- Lifecycle Management: Coordinate project phases through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile, Scrum, or Hybrid methodologies.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for business heads, technology teams, and external vendors to align operational priorities.
- Delivery & Tracking: Define project scope, create detailed project plans, manage timelines, track sprints, and mitigate risks/impediments to ensure on-time delivery.
4. Testing & Quality Assurance
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Lead the design, execution, and sign-off of UAT scripts, ensuring that system enhancements meet complex business logic and regulatory requirements.
- Defect Management: Collaborate with QA teams to prioritize, track, and resolve system defects during the testing phase.
Key Skills Required :
- Experience: 5–8 years of experience in a Business Analyst role with progressive project coordination responsibilities within Investment Banking, Asset Management, or Securities Services.
- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the post-trade lifecycle, settlement processes, instrument master data, account hierarchy structures, internal book mappings, and security pricing.
- Tools: Proficiency in agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) and visual modeling software (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
- Data Analysis: Strong ability to write SQL queries and manipulate complex data structures in Excel to support data profiling and business logic validation.
Soft Skills:
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for presenting technical and operational roadmaps to senior leadership.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying bottlenecks in financial workflows and proposing scalable architecture solutions.
- Adaptability: Ability to balance deep-dive business analysis with project delivery timelines in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- CBAP, CSPO, CSM, PMP, or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
