Key skills required: 

We are looking for a Sitecore Architect who has led end-to-end implementations of Sitecore CMS in a modern, headless setup. This role owns the architecture across XM Cloud, Sitecore OrderCloud, Sitecore Content Hub, and Sitecore AI, with strong responsibility for application-level infrastructure, security, and data protection.

You will define the overall solution architecture, guide delivery teams, and ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Delivery

• Lead end-to-end Sitecore implementations from discovery and design to go-live and post-production support.
• Design and implement headless Sitecore architectures using XM Cloud and modern frontend frameworks (Next.js or similar).
• Own the architecture and integration of:
• Sitecore XM Cloud
• Sitecore OrderCloud (commerce workflows, APIs, integrations)
• Sitecore Content Hub (DAM, content operations, publishing flows)
• Sitecore AI (personalization, recommendations, insights)
• Define content, personalization, and experience strategies using composable Sitecore capabilities.
• Ensure clean separation of content, presentation, and business logic.

Integrations & APIs

• Design and govern API-first integrations with third-party systems such as CRM, ERP, PIM, marketing, analytics, and payment platforms.
• Ensure reliable data flow between XM Cloud, OrderCloud, Content Hub, and external systems.
• Define caching, performance, and error-handling strategies.

Infrastructure, Security & Data Protection

• Define application-level architecture for cloud-native deployments (Azure-first preferred).
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on:
• Network design, access control, and identity integration
• Secure API exposure and authentication (OAuth, JWT, Azure AD, etc.)
• Secrets management and configuration management
• Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy standards (GDPR, consent, data retention).
• Design for scalability, availability, monitoring, and disaster recovery.

Technical Leadership

• Act as the technical authority for Sitecore across multiple workstreams.
• Review designs, code, and integrations to maintain architectural integrity.
• Mentor developers and guide teams on best practices for headless CMS and composable DXP patterns.
• Work closely with product owners, UX, and engineering leads to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

• 10+ years in enterprise web or digital platform development.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Sitecore, including at least:
• One full end-to-end headless Sitecore implementation
• Production experience with Sitecore XM Cloud
• Proven experience leading architecture for large or complex Sitecore programs.

Sitecore & Composable Stack

Strong expertise in:

• Sitecore XM Cloud
• Headless Sitecore architecture
• Sitecore OrderCloud
• Sitecore Content Hub
• Sitecore AI and personalization concepts
• Deep understanding of composable DXP and API-driven platforms.

Technical Skills

• Frontend: React, Next.js, or equivalent modern frameworks
• Backend & integrations: REST APIs, GraphQL, event-driven patterns
• Cloud platforms: Azure (App Services, Functions, Storage, CDN, monitoring)
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Performance, caching, and scalability design

Architecture & Security

• Strong architectural grounding in:
• Application-level infrastructure design
• Network and security concepts from an application perspective
• Identity, access management, and secure integrations
• Good understanding of data protection, privacy, and compliance requirements.

Nice to Have

• Sitecore certification(s)
• Experience migrating from traditional Sitecore XP/XM to XM Cloud
• Experience working in global, multi-region Sitecore deployments
• Exposure to MACH and composable commerce ecosystems beyond Sitecor

Desired Qualifications: 

Architect – 12-15 years of experience   

Professional Qualification - B.E./B.Tech/MCA/MBA/MS

Good verbal and written communication skills
