Key Responsibilities:

 

Flutter Engineer – iOS Native & Flutter

Experience: 4–8 Years

Role: Flutter Engineer – iOS Native Integration

 

Role Overview:

 

We are looking for a skilled Flutter Engineer with strong hands-on iOS Native development experience to design, develop, integrate, and maintain high-quality mobile applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Flutter/Dart as well as iOS native development using Swift, with proven experience integrating Flutter applications with native iOS components, SDKs, platform services, and third-party libraries.

The role requires strong engineering fundamentals, with particular emphasis on Clean Architecture, Secure Coding, Application Security, Encryption, Performance, Native–Flutter Interoperability, and complex SDK integration.

 

  • Design and develop scalable mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.
  • Develop and maintain iOS native components using Swift.
  • Build robust Flutter-to-iOS Native integrations using:
    • MethodChannel
    • EventChannel
    • BasicMessageChannel
    • Custom Flutter plugins
  • Integrate native iOS SDKs and third-party frameworks into Flutter applications.
  • Develop Flutter plugins/wrappers for native iOS capabilities where required.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues across the Flutter, Dart, iOS, and native SDK layers.
  • Design applications using Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, design patterns, and modular architecture.
  • Implement secure coding practices across Flutter and iOS native layers.
  • Integrate authentication, payment, security, analytics, monitoring, biometric, and other enterprise SDKs.
  • Optimize application performance, memory usage, startup time, network usage, and UI responsiveness.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues involving Flutter ↔ iOS ↔ SDK ↔ Backend interactions.
  • Implement unit, widget, integration, and native-layer tests.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding and architectural standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, backend engineers, QA, DevOps, security teams, and product stakeholders.
  • Contribute to technical design, estimation, documentation, and engineering best practices.

  

Preferred / Good to Have:

 

  • Experience in Banking, FinTech, Payments, UPI, or other security-sensitive applications.
  • Experience migrating or integrating existing native iOS applications with Flutter.
  • Experience developing Flutter plugins.
  • Strong Swift concurrency knowledge.
  • Experience with UIKit and SwiftUI.
  • Experience with Firebase/App Distribution/Crashlytics or equivalent.
  • Experience with performance profiling and memory-leak analysis using Xcode Instruments.
  • Knowledge of mobile application threat modelling.
  • Experience with App Attest, DeviceCheck, Secure Enclave, and advanced iOS security mechanisms.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience with CocoaPods and/or Swift Package Manager.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for Flutter and iOS applications.
  • Experience troubleshooting dependency, signing, provisioning, and build issues.
  • Understanding of Flutter iOS build and release processes.
  • Experience managing different environments/flavors/configurations is desirable.
  • Unit testing using XCTest and appropriate Flutter/Dart testing frameworks. Widget and integration testing. Mocking and dependency isolation.
  • Experience debugging production issues using logs, crash reports, stack traces, and performance tools.
  • Familiarity with Xcode Instruments for performance and memory analysis.
  • Strong understanding of code quality, static analysis, and code review practices.

  

What We Expect:

 

  • The candidate should be an engineer who can work across both Flutter and iOS Native layers, rather than a Flutter-only developer.
  • They should be able to independently investigate an issue that starts in Flutter, crosses a platform channel, enters Swift/Objective-C, interacts with a third-party SDK, and identify and resolve the problem end-to-end.
  • Strong emphasis will be placed on hands-on technical capability, iOS native expertise, Flutter integration, architecture, security, SDK integration, debugging, performance, and problem-solving skills.
