Job Title: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization Consultant

Job Summary

We are looking for a deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization Specialist having experience in Marketing Cloud Engagement. This role is heavily focused on designing and implementing real-time, behavior-driven customer experiences using advanced personalization components such as Sitemap configuration, Einstein Recipes, and event-driven architecture, while also leveraging core Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Cloud Personalization (Primary Focus)

  • Design, develop, and maintain Sitemap configurations to capture user behavior, define page types, and enable accurate data collection across digital properties.
  • Implement and manage Einstein Recipes for product/content recommendations, affinity scoring, and predictive personalization.
  • Configure catalogs, attributes, and user profiles to support advanced personalization use cases.
  • Build and manage campaigns, templates, and decisioning logic using rules, triggers, and AI-driven insights.
  • Define and track user events (views, clicks, purchases, etc.) and ensure proper event schema implementation.
  • Develop segmentation strategies based on real-time and historical behavioral data.
  • Integrate personalization across channels (web, mobile, email, and app experiences).
  • Optimize personalization performance through A/B testing, experimentation, and analytics.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement Web SDK / ET (Event Tracking) scripts and data layer alignment.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Secondary Focus)

  • Support personalized campaign execution via Journey Builder, Email Studio, and Automation Studio.
  • Leverage personalization insights to enhance customer journeys and lifecycle campaigns.
  • Develop dynamic email content using AMPscript and personalization strings.
  • Manage audience segmentation and data extensions aligned with personalization strategies.

Data, Integration & Optimization

  • Ensure seamless data ingestion, identity resolution, and profile unification.
  • Integrate Marketing Cloud Personalization with external systems (CRM, CDP, eCommerce platforms).
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data flow, sitemap issues, and campaign performance.
  • Analyze engagement metrics and continuously refine personalization strategies.

Education:B.Tech/B.E

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud with strong focus on Personalization (Interaction Studio).
  • Hands-on expertise in:
  • Sitemap implementation and debugging
  • Einstein Recipes configuration and optimization
  • Event tracking and user behavior modeling
  • Strong understanding of real-time personalization architecture and decisioning.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (for sitemap and Web SDK), SQL, and AMPscript.
  • Experience with APIs and data integrations.
  • Familiarity with debugging tools, browser dev tools, and tagging frameworks.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in experimentation and optimization.

 

Certifications

  • Required: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization Certification (Interaction Studio / Personalization).
  • Preferred: Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (Email Specialist, Consultant, or Developer).
  • Optional: Salesforce Data Cloud Certification.

 

Key Competencies

  • Strong expertise in behavioral targeting and AI-driven personalization.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable personalization use cases.
  • Detail-oriented with strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective collaboration with marketing, product, and engineering teams.

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience with eCommerce personalization use cases (product recommendations, cart abandonment, etc.).
  • Exposure to CDPs or Data Cloud implementations.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and front-end frameworks.
  • Understanding of privacy and consent frameworks (GDPR, etc.).
  • This profile does not involve extensive travel for work.
