Our global network provides strategic guidance and implementation services to help companies manage data from disparate sources and convert it into accurate, actionable information that can support fact-driven decision-making and generate an insight-driven advantage. Our practice addresses the continuum of opportunities in business intelligence & visualization, data management, performance management and next-generation analytics and technologies, including big data, cloud, cognitive and machine learning. 

 

We are seeking a skilled Vlocity Salesforce Developer to join our team to design, develop, and implement Vlocity (Salesforce Industries) solutions on the Salesforce platform. You will be responsible for configuring and customizing the OmniStudio toolkit (formerly Vlocity), ensuring scalable and performant implementations aligned with business requirements. Your role will involve working closely with architects, analysts, and end users to deliver tailored industry-specific solutions, particularly in domains like Communications, Insurance, Healthcare, and Utilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Development:

 

  • Design and develop Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) solutions using OmniStudio tools: OmniScripts, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, FlexCards, and Vlocity Cards.
  •  
  • Customize Salesforce using Apex, LWC (Lightning Web Components), and Visualforce as needed.
  •  
  • Implement and optimize Salesforce Industries Data Model (e.g., Communications Industry Model, Insurance Data Model).
  •  
  • Develop scalable integration solutions using Vlocity Integration Procedures, REST APIs, and Salesforce Connect.

 

Configuration and Customization:

 

  • Configure complex business rules and UI flows using OmniScripts and FlexCards.
  •  
  • Build and maintain Declarative Configurations within Salesforce and Vlocity tools.
  •  
  • Customize page layouts, record types, fields, validation rules, workflows, and approval processes.

 

Collaboration and Support:

 

  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  •  
  • Provide technical support during development, testing, deployment, and post-deployment phases.
  •  
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.

 

Documentation and Best Practices:

 

  • Maintain clear documentation of configurations, custom code, data models, and integration processes.
  •  
  • Ensure solutions follow best practices for performance, scalability, security, and governance.
  •  
  • Assist in establishing coding standards and code reviews for Vlocity components.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

 

  • 2–5+ years of experience in Salesforce development with at least 1–2 years specifically in Salesforce Industries/Vlocity.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce Apex, SOQL, LWC, and JavaScript.

  • Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP) and external system integrations.

  • Understanding of Salesforce DX, CI/CD tools, and version control systems (e.g., Git).

 

Other Skills:

 

  • Good understanding of industry-specific data models and process flows (e.g., CPQ for Telecom, Claims for Insurance).
  •  
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  •  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification.
  • Salesforce OmniStudio/Vlocity Developer certification.
  • Experience in Salesforce Industries CPQEnterprise Product Catalog (EPC), or Order Management is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence.
