About the Role

As a Data Engineer in our Consulting team, you will design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions that support business intelligence, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives. You will work closely with clients, architects, analysts, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready data platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines using Python and PySpark.

  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources.

  • Develop and manage data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration processes on cloud and on-prem platforms.

  • Work with large-scale data platforms (lakehouse / data warehouse architectures).

  • Write efficient and optimized T-SQL queries for data processing, validation, and performance tuning.

  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance through monitoring, logging, and validation frameworks.

  • Collaborate with analytics, BI, and data science teams to enable downstream reporting and advanced analytics.

  • Support cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures (nice to have: Microsoft Fabric).

  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.

  • Participate in client discussions, technical solutioning, and architecture reviews.

  • Identify risks and performance bottlenecks and proactively propose improvements.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Python and PySpark.

  • Good working knowledge of T-SQL and relational databases.

  • Solid understanding of Data Engineering concepts, including data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data pipeline design.

  • Experience working with big data technologies and distributed processing frameworks.

  • Understanding of cloud data platforms and modern data architectures.

  • Ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and performance-tune data pipelines.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a client-facing environment.

  • Experience working in Agile delivery models.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, OneLake, Lakehouse, Synapse) – nice to have.

  • Exposure to Azure / AWS / GCP data services.

  • Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines.

  • Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality tools.

  • Relevant certifications in Cloud or Data Engineering.
