The team
Deloitte is working with global customers on cloud technologies to help them spot unseen business trends, transform, and curate data to find meaningful insights, and so on. Due to continued expansion, we’re searching for like-minded individuals to help us ‘take it to the next level’.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in implementing data ingestion and transformation pipelines for large-scale organizations. We are seeking someone with deep technical skills in a variety of technologies to play an important role in developing and delivering early proofs of concept and production implementation.

You will get good experience in building solutions using a variety of open-source tools on a cloud platform and a proven track record in delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines.

Associate Director – Cloud Strategy & Engineering

Experience: Senior leadership (typically 15+ years)

Role Summary: Shape cloud strategy offerings, lead strategic engagements, and grow practice capabilities. Influence C-level stakeholders and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Advisory

• Define and evolve cloud strategy offerings including assessment frameworks, governance models, and modernization playbooks.
• Lead strategic engagements across cloud migration, repatriation, FinOps, and hybrid cloud adoption.
• Develop and present executive-level business cases, investment strategies, and transformation roadmaps.
• Advise clients on cloud governance and operating models, organizational change, and capability building.

Technical

• Architect enterprise-scale cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP, integrating security, compliance, and performance.
• Lead modernization strategy including cloud-native rearchitecture, container platforms, and serverless adoption.
• Oversee cloud cost optimization programs using FinOps principles and tooling.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for strategic fit.

Leadership & Practice Development

• Build and scale high-performing teams across cloud strategy and engineering.
• Mentor Managers and contribute to succession planning and leadership development.
• Drive internal capability development through reusable assets, accelerators, and training programs.
• Represent the firm in industry forums, conferences, and thought leadership initiatives.

Cloud Provider Alignment

• Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, OCI, and/or GCP; experience with multi-cloud and hybrid architectures.
• Strategic relationships with cloud providers and ecosystem partners.

Certifications (any one)

• AWS/Azure/OCI/GCP Architect Expert
• Any specialty certification (Big Data, Networking, Security, DevOps, FinOps, etc.)

Industry Exposure

• Extensive experience across multiple industries with a focus on regulated environments.
• Ability to contextualize cloud strategy for BFSI, healthcare, and manufacturing.

Manager – Cloud Strategy & Engineering

Experience: 10–14 years

Role Summary: Own client relationships and lead large-scale cloud transformation programs. Drive strategic outcomes and ensure delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Advisory

• Define cloud strategy and transformation roadmaps aligned to business objectives.
• Lead development of cloud governance models, FinOps frameworks, and operating models.
• Drive cloud repatriation analysis and hybrid cloud strategy formulation.
• Present strategic recommendations to client leadership and influence decision-making.

Technical

• Architect scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Oversee modernization strategy including replatforming, refactoring, and containerization.
• Lead TCO analysis and ROI modeling for cloud investments.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud tools for observability, automation, and cost management.

Leadership & Delivery

• Manage multi-disciplinary teams across geographies and workstreams.
• Ensure delivery excellence through structured governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Support practice development through reusable assets, accelerators, and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to pre-sales, solutioning, and proposal development.

Cloud Provider Alignment

• Deep expertise in at least one cloud platform; multi-cloud experience preferred.
• Experience with cloud security and compliance tooling

Certifications

• Cloud Solutions Architect (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI, Private Cloud) or Any specialty certification (Big Data, Networking, Security, DevOps, FinOps, etc.)

Industry Exposure

• Proven experience in leading cloud programs in BFSI, healthcare, or manufacturing.
• Ability to tailor cloud strategy to industry-specific constraints.
