Manager / Associate Director | Azure Infrastructure

As an experienced Manager / Associate Director at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. You will mentor and guide teams, liaise with onsite/offshore stakeholders, and drive strategic initiatives in Cloud Infrastructure and Engineering.

Work you’ll do:

Apply industry knowledge to requirements gathering and analysis, ensuring alignment with sector needs. Demonstrate expertise across the entire software development lifecycle, from design and coding to deployment and defect resolution, collaborating with stakeholders for effective delivery. Conduct peer and team reviews to maintain quality standards. Actively engage in Agile practices, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and effort estimation. Build and share business process knowledge, supporting project knowledge management and team training. Proactively recommend process improvements, track efficiency gains, and contribute to automation and innovation, all aimed at enhancing project outcomes and delivering greater value to clients.

Manager / Associate Director – Azure Infrastructure

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager / Associate Director to lead our Azure Infrastructure initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in cloud architecture, governance, Infrastructure as Code, and operational excellence. You will be responsible for defining standards, driving automation, and ensuring compliance across large-scale cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Azure infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to best practices.
  • Define and implement cloud architecture standards, governance frameworks, and Landing Zone strategies using Azure Landing Zones, Management Groups, Azure Policy, Blueprints.
  • Oversee Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, Ansible and automation tools.
  • Drive cost optimization, performance tuning, and scalability initiatives across cloud environments.
  • Ensure security and compliance through identity management, encryption, audit logging, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Application) to align infrastructure with business goals.
  • Mentor and guide teams on cloud technologies, automation, and operational excellence.
  • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new services for adoption.
  • Establish monitoring and observability frameworks using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights and third-party tools.
  • Prepare and present strategic roadmaps and status reports to senior leadership.

Must-Have Skills

  • Extensive experience in Azure architecture and infrastructure management.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-account/project Azure environments, Landing Zones, and governance.
  • Expertise in IaC tools (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, Ansible) and automation scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell).
  • Deep understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver large-scale cloud projects.

Desired Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and cloud transformation programs.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with a track record of managing complex cloud initiatives.
