Your work profile 

• As a Mainframe Modernization Expert, you will be responsible for driving the transformation of our legacy mainframe systems into modern, cloud-native architectures that are scalable and secure.
• In this role you will use your expertise in mainframe technologies and modernization approaches to design practical solutions aligned with business and technology goals.
• You will work closely with stakeholders, development teams and cloud architects to drive modernization initiatives, improve system efficiency and support cloud adoption strategies.
• The role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on mainframe experience and the ability to drive complex modernization and transformation programs.
• Assess legacy mainframe applications and define modernization strategies and migration roadmaps.
• Lead modernization initiatives involving COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS, VSAM, MQ, CFT, and Scheduler platforms.
• Execute rehost, re-platform, and automated COBOL-to-Java conversion programs.
• Support AWS cloud migration and target-state architecture design.
• Design integration solutions using APIs, MQ, Kafka, and Microservices.
• Work with modernization and code conversion tools to accelerate transformation.
• Lead migration, testing, cutover, and stabilization activities.
• Collaborate with business, architecture, and delivery teams to ensure successful program execution.
• Drive DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud engineering best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and stakeholder management throughout the modernization lifecycle.

Key skills required: 

• 12+ years of experience in Mainframe technologies and modernization programs.
• Experience in end-to-end modernization engagements preferred.
• AWS or other cloud platform exposure preferred.
• Mainframe Technologies: COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS, VSAM
• Middleware & Transfer: MQ, CFT, Scheduler

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
