Your work profile

We are looking for an experienced AOSP Developer to design, develop, customize, and maintain Android platform software. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Android framework development, Linux, device customization, HAL integration, and Android system internals. The role involves working closely with hardware, BSP, kernel, and application teams to deliver customized Android OS solutions.

Key skills required   

• Customize and enhance the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) framework.
• Develop and modify Android Framework Services and System Applications.
• Work on Android HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) development and integration.
• Customize Android boot sequence, SystemUI, Settings, Launcher, and native services.
• Debug Android framework, kernel, and device-level issues.
• Integrate device drivers and BSP components with Android.
• Optimize Android boot time, memory utilization, battery consumption, and system performance.
• Develop and maintain Android native services using C/C++.
• Work on SELinux policies, Android permissions, and security enhancements.
• Analyze crash logs, ANRs, Tombstones, Logcat, and kernel logs.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, QA, and product engineering teams.
• Support Android version migration (Android 12/13/14/15) where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with CTS, VTS, and GMS certification requirements.

Must Have Skills: Android DevelopmentKotlinJavaAndroid Studio, Gradle and GitRESTful APIs, JSON,  

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience in AOSP architecture and Android Framework.
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, C++, and C.
• Strong Linux system programming knowledge.
• Experience with Android Binder IPC, HIDL/AIDL.
• Android HAL development experience.
• Knowledge of Android build system (Soong, Make).
• Android debugging using:
• Logcat
• ADB
• Fastboot
• GDB
• Systrace
• Perfetto
• Experience with Git and Gerrit.
• Understanding of Android Security Model and SELinux.
• Knowledge of Android bootloader, recovery, OTA updates.
• Education : Any Graduate
