Your work profile

• Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL-based applications on HPE Nonstop systems.
• Design and implement integration solutions between COBOL and Java applications.
• Work on legacy modernization initiatives and system enhancements.
• Develop and expose APIs or services to enable communication between systems.
• Analyze existing systems and propose improvements for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and business teams.
• Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Participate in code reviews and technical documentation.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise development and security standards.

Key skills required: 

• Strong experience in COBOL development (HPE Nonstop systems).
• Hands-on experience with COBOL and Java integration.
• Knowledge of batch processing, transaction processing, and legacy system workflows.
• Experience with HPE Nonstop COBOL, TACL, Netbatch, SQL MX/MP and Enscribe (commonly used in HPE Nonstop COBOL environments).
• Understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and system integration patterns.
• Experience with SQL and database interactions.
• Familiarity with version control systems and development of lifecycle processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in HPE Nonstop systems modernization or migration projects.
• Exposure to microservices or API-based integration.
• Knowledge of middleware or integration tools.
• Understanding of cloud migration strategies for legacy systems 

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
