Your work profile
We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer & Data Engineer with 4–6 years of experience to design, develop, and optimize end-to-end data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on skills in Power BI, data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and modern data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Power BI Development
- Build interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI.
- Develop and optimize data models (star/snowflake schema) for performance and scalability.
- Write advanced DAX expressions for calculated columns, measures, and KPIs.
- Implement role-level security (RLS) and governance best practices.
- Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Perform performance tuning, report optimization, and troubleshooting.
Data Engineering
- Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SSIS, Python, SQL, etc.
- Manage data ingestion from multiple sources (APIs, databases, files, cloud storage).
- Develop and maintain data lakes, data warehouses (Azure Synapse, Snowflake, SQL Server, etc.).
- Ensure data quality, integrity, reconciliation, and documentation.
- Optimize SQL queries and data transformation workflows.
- Work closely with architecture teams to propose scalable data engineering solutions.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with business teams to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as data science, product, and IT.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to business users.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development and data engineering.
- Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M language), and data modeling concepts.
- Proficiency in SQL with ability to write complex queries and optimize performance.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred).
- ETL/ELT development experience using ADF, Databricks, SSIS, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (fact tables, dimensions, SCDs).
- Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD, version control (Git), and Power BI deployment pipelines (nice to have).
- Good problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Python or PySpark.
- Knowledge of Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
- Experience implementing Power BI governance and workspace management.
- Understanding of API integrations and automation scripts.
- Exposure to Power Apps or Power Automate.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
