Requirements
- 5-8 plus years of total experience in JIRA administration, Automation and Migration.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any engineering discipline; or Master’s degree.
- Atlassian tool administration knowledge on JIRA and Confluence & plugins like Advanced Roadmaps, Tempo Planner, Timesheet, X ray, Scriptrunner etc.
- Manage user access, permissions, and roles, ensuring adherence to security and governance policies.
- Ability to manage JIRA/plugins/Confluence license management etc,
- Support the automation of development in Jira
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and create custom workflows that meet business needs and drive operational efficiency.
- Ability to write custom JQL (Jira Query Language).
- Ability to develop custom dashboards using various filter types in JIRA.
- In-depth knowledge in customization for Agile project management, application support and also on the DevOps stack of CI/CD enablement’s.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC processes, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices, including CI/CD.
- Ability to create/configure Confluence pages and integrate JIRA projects with Confluence pages.
- Experience in performing Atlassian installations, migrations, and plugin installation, CSV import, Xray test cases import.
- Good understanding of release management, change management and ITSM processes
- Ability to work in a dynamic agile/waterfall and hybrid environment.
- Must have strong work ethic with good time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good Presentation Skills.
- Good analytical and troubleshooting Skills.
- Atlassian certification (e.g., ACP-120, ACP-520, ACP-620, and ACP-420) is preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Serve as JIRA admin/SME by ensuring end to end Jira administrative activities plus plugins etc are taken care independently.
- Maintain JIRA projects, workflows, fields, permissions, issuetype hierarchy’s and users’ schemas.
- Improve JIRA security. Set access permissions for JIRA projects and Confluence spaces.
- Work with JIRA filters, reporting, dashboards, workflows, fields, configuration
- Analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement.
- Manage user permissions for tools according to the needs of projects and teams.
- Perform application and system administration tasks, including data backups and scheduled jobs.
- Test new versions of the tools and plug-ins to ensure compatibility.
- Research and utilize industry standard methods and techniques.
- Communicate and share knowledge with internal contacts at all levels.
- Manage multiple responsibilities with tight deadlines.
- Provide training and ongoing support to users across the organization on best practices for using Jira.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including user guides and best practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving Atlassian-related issues
