Work Profile

The Consultant – Azure DevOps & Kafka will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and Kafka-based event streaming solutions. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to automate deployments, manage cloud resources, and deliver scalable, secure, and highly available applications on Microsoft Azure.The candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Apache Kafka, Azure Cloud, and containerization technologies, along with a passion for automation and continuous improvement.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Having hands-on experience in Azure DevOps for developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Having experience with Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, Azure Artifacts, and Azure Boards.
• Having knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep).
• Having hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including Producers, Consumers, Topics, and Partitions.
• Having understanding of Kafka message serialization using JSON, Avro, or Protobuf and Schema Registry.
• Having experience deploying and managing applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Having hands-on experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes (AKS preferred).
• Having experience using Git and YAML-based pipeline configurations.
• Having knowledge of Linux and Shell/PowerShell scripting.
• Having experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Having experience troubleshooting CI/CD pipeline failures and production deployment issues.
• Having understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices.
• Having good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education – B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech/M.Sc.
• Microsoft Azure certifications are preferred.
• Knowledge of Confluent Platform, Kafka Connect, or Kafka Streams will be an added advantage.

Success Metrics

• Having 3–5 years of experience in Azure DevOps and cloud technologies.
• Successfully developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka implementation and support.
• Experience deploying applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Ability to troubleshoot deployment and Kafka-related production issues.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while delivering high-quality solutions.

Location and Way of Working

• Base Location: Bangalore (Preferred)
• This profile involves travelling to client locations based on project requirements.
• Hybrid working model as per project needs.
