We are seeking highly skilled Databricks Data Engineers to join our data modernization team. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data solutions on the Databricks platform. Your experience in data engineering, along with a deep understanding of Databricks, will be instrumental in building solutions to drive data-driven decision-making across a variety of customers.

Experience Band: 5 – 10 years 

The Data Engineering Specialist is responsible for analyzing, building, improving, and maintaining data engineering solutions to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across the organization. They implement data engineering processes, standards and procedures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity.

Must Have Skills

Data Engineering Concepts, expertise with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, ETL knowledge, Strong SQL, proficiency in Pyspark and analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

·      Design, build, and deliver Single Source of Truth (SSOT) data products using the medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).

·      Estimate and size SSOT work and deliver independently within agreed timelines.

·      Translate business requirements into build-ready SSOT specifications

·      Develop SSOTs on Databricks, leveraging ADF for data ingestion and orchestration.

·      Build Gold-layer SSOT objects aligned to business definitions applying appropriate data modeling techniques.

·      Implement data quality checks and integrate DQ modules into SSOTs.

·      Support migration of existing SSOTs to the target platform and repoint downstream dashboards (e.g., Power BI).

·      Collaborate with Product Owners, domain SPOCs, governance, and visualization teams.

·      Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance to ensure consistent SSOT delivery standards.

·      Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·      Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

·      Detail-oriented and passionate about data accuracy and integrity.

·      Be able to Conduct training and awareness programs for users and stakeholders.

Requirements

·      Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Management, or a related field.

·      5–9 years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles.

·      Hands-on experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, notebooks, jobs) and Azure Data Factory (ADF).

·      Strong hands-on SQL and experience implementing the medallion architecture on modern data platforms.

·      Hands on experience with Snowflake and IICS is good-to-have

·      Proven ability to design scalable data models and transformation logic.

·      Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for data platforms

·      Experience implementing data quality checks and reconciliation logic.

·      Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) and downstream consumption patterns is good-to-have.

·      Strong stakeholder communication skills and experience in a consulting or delivery-oriented environment.
