Work Profile

The Senior Consultant – Azure DevOps & Kafka will be responsible for designing, implementing, and leading enterprise DevOps and Kafka solutions for large-scale cloud transformation programs. The role includes defining CI/CD standards, designing event-driven architectures, mentoring engineering teams, collaborating with client stakeholders, and ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable cloud deployments.The candidate will act as a technical leader, driving solution design, implementation excellence, and continuous improvement across multiple engagements.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Having strong hands-on experience designing enterprise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Having expertise in Azure Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, Boards, and release management.
• Having extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
• Having strong expertise in Apache Kafka architecture, including cluster design, topic strategy, replication, and performance tuning.
• Having experience implementing Kafka Producers, Consumers, Kafka Connect, and Kafka Streams.
• Having knowledge of Schema Registry and event-driven architecture patterns.
• Having hands-on experience deploying enterprise applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Having experience with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and container orchestration.
• Having expertise in implementing monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Having experience implementing DevSecOps and CI/CD security best practices.
• Having experience troubleshooting complex production incidents and performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Having experience mentoring team members and conducting technical reviews.
• Having ability to collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Owners, and client stakeholders.
• Having excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education – B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech/M.Sc.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert is preferred.
• Microsoft Azure Administrator/Architect certifications are desirable.
• Confluent Kafka Certification is an added advantage.

Success Metrics

• Having 6–9 years of experience in Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud, and Apache Kafka.
• Successfully designing and implementing enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience leading Kafka platform implementation and optimization.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation.
• Experience deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring teams and driving technical excellence.
• Ability to lead technical discussions with clients and deliver scalable cloud-native solutions.
• Proven experience supporting production environments and improving platform reliability.

Location and Way of Working

• Base Location: Bangalore (Preferred)
• This profile involves travelling to client locations based on project requirements.
• Hybrid working model as per project needs.
