Your work profile

As an Associate Director in our Organisation Transformation Team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations

 

1. Market Leadership

  • Drive business development by identifying, shaping, and converting HR M&A opportunities across buy-side, sell-side, JV, and divestiture transactions.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with senior client stakeholders (CHRO, CFO, Corporate Development, M&A integration leaders).

 

2. Pre-deal Advisory and Due Diligence

  • Lead end-to-end HR Due Diligence projects including organization, workforce, culture, leadership, HR function, ER/IR, policies, benefits, and people-related risks.
  • Provide deep insights on deal risks, synergies, costs, and future-state operating model implications.
  • Work collaboratively with other Deloitte M&A teams (Financial Advisory, Tax, Technology, and Strategy) in integrated DD efforts.

3. Post‑Deal Integration & Separation Execution

  • Lead large-scale HR integration or separation programs including Day 1 readiness, TOM design, workforce transition, retention, culture integration, and change management.
  • Oversee HR operating model redesign, TSA planning, synergy execution, and HR systems/process harmonization.
  • Bring structure, governance, and program discipline to complex multi-country programs.

4. Practice Building & People Leadership

  • Build and scale the Human Capital M&A practice in India—hiring, coaching, and developing a high-performing team.
  • Drive asset development, capability building, delivery excellence, and cross-border collaboration.
  • Represent the practice in leadership forums, industry events, and global M&A communities.

 

Key skills required: 

  • 10+ years of experience in HR M&A, organization transformation, or broader deal advisory in a consulting environment.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale integration / separation programs for global clients.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, compliance, people risks, culture assessment, and synergy modeling.
  • Demonstrated track record of sales, pursuits, and relationship building with CXO stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous M&A environments with global teams and tight deadlines.
  • MBA from a top-tier institute preferred.
