Key Responsibilities:
- We are seeking a seasoned AEM Backend Developer to lead the design, development, and integration of robust server‑side solutions for Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, OSGi, Sling, and related web‑technology stacks, and will mentor junior team members while ensuring high‑quality, scalable implementations for enterprise‑grade digital experiences.
- Architect & Develop: Design, build, and maintain AEM backend components (OSGi services, Sling models, custom workflows, servlet extensions, etc.) that meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
- Integration: Implement and support integrations with third‑party systems (e.g., CRMs, Marketing Automation, Content APIs, BFF layers) using REST/SOAP, GraphQL, and other web services.
- Code Quality & Best Practices: Enforce coding standards, conduct peer code reviews, write unit/integration tests (JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock), and ensure CI/CD compliance.
- Performance Tuning: Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and threading issues in AEM instances; conduct load testing and profiling.
- Customization & Migration: Lead custom component development, migration of legacy AEM sites to newer versions, and upgrade strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Front‑End (React/Angular/HTML5), UX, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
- Mentorship: Guide junior developers, conduct knowledge‑sharing sessions, and contribute to technical documentation and best‑practice guides.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Translate business requirements into technical specifications; provide estimates, risk assessments, and status updates to project managers and clients.

- 7‑12 years of hands‑on AEM development (AEM 6.x onward); strong grasp of OSGi, Sling, JCR, and AEM Touch UI/Editable Templates
- Programming
- Expert in Java (8+), familiarity with Java EE patterns, multithreading, and design patterns
- Web Services
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, SOAP, GraphQL; secure integration (OAuth2, JWT, SAML)
- Build & CI/CD
- Maven/Gradle, Jenkins/TeamCity, Docker/Kubernetes for AEM deployment pipelines
- Testing
- Unit testing (JUnit, Mockito), integration testing (Sling‑Testing‑tools), performance testing (JMeter, Gatling)
- Databases
- Knowledge of relational DBs (MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, CouchDB) where relevant
- Version Control
- Git (branching strategies, pull‑requests)
- Agile Practices
- Scrum/Kanban experience, story estimation, sprint planning
- Soft Skills
- Strong analytical/communication abilities, client‑facing experience, leadership/mentoring capabilities
- Must Qualification - Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) – AEM Developer
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AEM Headless (AEM SPA Editor) and front‑end frameworks (React, Angular)
- Familiarity with cloud deployments (Adobe Cloud Manager, AWS, Azure)
- Exposure to micro‑services architecture and API gateways (Kong, Apigee)

- Base location: Pune
- Education: Professional Qualification - B.E./B.Tech/MCA/MBA/MS
- This profile involves occasional travelling to client locations.
