The Team
The Workday AMS team sits within the broader Workday teams of Workday HR Technology and Workday Finance Teams. The Deloitte Workday team provides the full range of services for clients from the initial planning stages, through full system implementation to on-going support. The Deloitte Workday team are not purely system implementors as the service goes beyond to ensure our clients get the most benefit from their Workday solution. For the Workday AMS team, this means not just fixing issues but providing advisory and guidance on ways to optimize and enhance the Workday experience.
Work you’ll do
As a Workday Consultant Functional/Technical, you will play a key role in supporting and maintaining the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system. Under the guidance of senior team members, you will be responsible for assisting in the configuration, troubleshooting, and enhancement of Workday functionalities to meet the organization's HR and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Incident Resolution:
· Respond to and resolve user-reported issues and incidents related to Workday functionality.
· Collaborate with senior team members to troubleshoot and identify root causes.
2. Configuration Assistance:
· Assist in the configuration of Workday modules based on organizational requirements.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and updates.
3. Data Management:
· Support data upload/extract processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of HR data.
· Assist in data validation and cleansing activities as needed.
4. User Training and Support:
· Participate in user training sessions and assist in the development of training materials.
· Provide helpdesk support to end-users for Workday-related inquiries.
5. Documentation:
· Contribute to the creation and maintenance of system documentation, including configuration guides and process manuals.
· Document issue resolutions and share knowledge with the team.
6. Testing and Validation:
· Assist in testing new features, enhancements, and system upgrades.
· Collaborate with the testing team to ensure the quality of Workday configurations.
7. Collaboration:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and business stakeholders.
· Participate in meetings to gather requirements and provide updates on Workday initiatives.
8. Continuous Learning:
· Stay updated on Workday releases, new features, and best practices.
· Actively seek opportunities for professional development and training.
9. Integration Support:
· Assist in the development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of integrations between Workday and external downstream/ upstream systems.
· Collaborate with the technical team to understand integration requirements.
10. Report Development:
· Participate in the creation and maintenance of custom reports using Workday Report Writer.
· Support end-users in generating standard and ad-hoc reports.
11. System Maintenance:
· Contribute to routine system maintenance activities, including data uploads/extracts.
· Assist in monitoring system performance and resolving technical issues.
12. Data Management:
· Support data import/export processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity within the Workday system.
· Assist in data validation and cleansing activities.
13. Workflow Configuration:
· Assist in the configuration and maintenance of business process workflows within Workday.
· Collaborate with functional teams to implement workflow changes.
14. Security and Access Control:
· Support the implementation and management of role-based access control (RBAC) in Workday.
· Participate in security audits and compliance activities.
15. Technical Documentation:
· Contribute to the documentation of technical configurations, integrations, and processes.
· Keep documentation up-to-date and organized for future reference.
16. Collaboration with Functional Teams:
· Work closely with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
· Participate in cross-functional meetings to gather requirements and provide technical insights
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field.
· Basic understanding of HR processes and practices.
· Familiarity with Workday HCM modules is a plus.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Eagerness to learn and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
· Provide inputs for solutions using logical and cohesive arguments and communicate through verbal and written mediums in a clear and concise manner
· Should be willing to work in shifts
· Required to work from office (application for offshore development center (ODC) projects)
· Location- Pan India
Desired Skills
· Basic understanding of Workday report writing and analytics.
· Exposure to configuration tools within the Workday system.
· Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
· Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
