Job Description: S/4HANA Testing Delivery Manager (Technical Focus)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced S/4HANA Testing Delivery Manager with a strong technical background to lead our testing efforts for complex S/4HANA implementations and transformations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of S/4HANA architecture, testing methodologies, and project management principles. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering comprehensive testing strategies, ensuring the quality and stability of our S/4HANA solutions. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage teams, communicate with stakeholders, and drive technical excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Test Strategy and Planning:
• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
• Define test scope, objectives, and acceptance criteria based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Estimate testing effort, resources, and timelines.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with testing activities.
• Test Execution and Management:
• Lead and manage a team of test analysts and engineers, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Oversee the execution of various testing phases, including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), 1 and performance testing.  
• Ensure adherence to testing standards, methodologies, and best practices.
• Monitor test progress, track defects, and generate comprehensive test reports.
• Manage the automation of test suites, using tools such as SAP Solution Manager Test Suite, or other third party automation tools.
• Technical Expertise:
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of S/4HANA architecture, modules (e.g., Finance, Logistics, Sales), and related technologies.
• Possess hands-on experience with S/4HANA testing tools and techniques.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
• Knowledge of ABAP debugging, and SQL database queries is required.
• Understand the underlying database structure of S4HANA.
• Understanding of Fiori applications and testing.
• Project Management:
• Manage testing projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Effectively communicate project status and risks to stakeholders.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality testing deliverables.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on testing requirements and objectives.
• Facilitate communication and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Present test results and recommendations to senior management.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest S/4HANA technologies and testing trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on S/4HANA.
• Proven experience leading and managing testing teams.
• Strong understanding of S/4HANA architecture, modules, and related technologies.
• Hands-on experience with S/4HANA testing tools and methodologies.
• Excellent test management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., SAP Solution Manager Test Suite, Selenium).
• Knowledge of ABAP debugging and SQL.
• Experience in Agile/DevOps methodologies.
• SAP Certifications are a plus.
• Experience in performance testing tools such as LoadRunner or JMeter is a plus.
• Knowledge of Cloud based S4HANA implementations is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SAP Solution Manager.
• Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology.
• Familiarity with cloud-based S/4HANA implementations
