The Team
Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation: EAD: Engineering practice can help you uncover and unlock the value buried deep inside vast amounts of data. Our global network provides strategic guidance and implementation services to help companies manage data from disparate sources and convert it into accurate, actionable information that can support fact-driven decision-making and generate an insight-driven advantage. Our practice addresses the continuum of opportunities in business intelligence & visualization, data management, performance management and next-generation analytics and technologies, including big data, cloud, cognitive and machine learning.
As a Senior Consultant/Manager in our Technology & Transformation Team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: -
- Design, develop and deploy solutions using different tools, design principles and conventions.
- Configure robotics processes and objects using core workflow principles in an efficient way; ensure they are easily maintainable and easy to understand.
- Understand existing processes and facilitate change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
- Solve day to day issues arising while running robotics processes and provide timely resolutions.
- Maintain proper documentation for the solutions, test procedures and scenarios during UAT and Production phase.
- Coordinate with process owners and business to understand the as-is process and design the automation process flow.
- BS / BA in technology related discipline or relevant industry experience.
- 6- 15 years of experience developing, deploying, scaling and maintaining software systems. A good portion of this experience should come from working in and around cloud-based services.
- Able to design to systems that meet specific operational SLAs and able to describe basic security and compliance aspects of cloud platform primitives & data integrations
- Hands on knowledge of various backend development languages like Java, Go (secondary) and Python, devops, Kubernetes, automation tools(terraform)
- Familiarity with integrating or extending SaaS platforms (e.g. Backstage, openshift, IDP platforms)
- Hands on Knowledge of various database technologies like RDBMS (SQL), DocumentDB, GraphDB etc.
- Advanced understanding of web technologies (HTTP, SSL, Headers, Cookies, TCP, Caching)
- Knowledge of CI/CD principles and best-practices.
- Experience working with bug tracking and task management software such as JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.
- Experience developing solutions for retail or eCommerce businesses and other relevant domains such as manufacturing & logistics, supply chain, or corporate shared services
- Ability to assume the leadership/mentorship of Engineers
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular
- Proficiency in Python for building backend services, automation, and API development
- Experience with integrating or extending SaaS platforms (e.g. Backstage)
- Experience with AWS cloud and IAC knowledge (Terraform)
- Experience with day-to-day tools such as Jira, PagerDuty, ServiceNow is nice to have
- You can demonstrate working knowledge of various cloud capabilities( AWS and Azure) and services offered by major public cloud providers and are able to select them appropriately for given use cases, e.g. compute, storage, analytics, etc.
- Base location: Bangalore
- This profile involves occasional travelling to client locations.
